Theres always one.
I am finding my own job just need lists of names of the companies around in my area. If you have a re-read you will see that i haven’t asked anyone to look for a job for me.
Whils’t i have never had a criminal record except for the odd traffic offence of speeding i have not been perfect either and like many people on this forum i have been lucky. You on the other hand have been trained for the job you do and it has been instilled into you to catch wrong doers, you have taken oath’s to uphold the law which i suppose you do and i find nothing wrong with that. You may be a perfectly decent chap, i hope you are.
My problem is that there are some bent coppers out there just consult any newspaper and you can see their cases. Most policemen dont know when duty stops and leisure starts because of the training i suppose. Will you continue checking road tax and O licence discs as you are walking across the MSA on your way for a coffee because old habits die hard. Will you be on the phone to your mates at VOSA when you see something not quite right, no one would ever know it was you. At least in your present vehicle we can see where you are and know what you are, that will all change when you go undercover.

Have you been on the drink?
I don’t give a flying hoot about the lorry/car/motorbike next door to me.
As stated in my post i did quote

I think that answer your reply which to be honest is of topic a bit
If this guy was ever in the police force, I’d be amazed!

Having worked in the same station, I can confirm he does.
Micky you know where I am if you fancy a blether - same coloured badge an’ that.
And for those of you who don’t remember back to whenever I joined, I left the job a long time ago.
Not sure if your exact location. What about browns near Boston? Kime, staples etc?

I was in the force. I did the PCSO role for 5 1/2 years and the rest as a PC, which is 6 years of my life. A few on here have seen my face to face whilst being of duty who can also confirm i worked for the police.

Yeah mate…
Well Mickey I can only assume after 5 + years as a pcso, you get automatic right to apply to be a uniformed officer.
If you had to apply from scratch I couldn’t see you passing the interview, and I say that from reading this thread, amongst others.
You sound most unlike any copper I know.
You followed someone to London (Off duty) because you thought they’d had a drink? …Just sounds nonsense to me!

They all do that, they are never off-duty. It’s instilled into them at Hendon training school.

Only the Met go to Hendon. The rest of us (sorry, them ) go to regional training centres around the country. But TBH, any off-duty bobby who follows suspected drink-drivers needs to get a life PDQ.

Why don’t you think i don’t sound like most coppers?
Next time i will let a suspected drink driver go on there merry way, and lets not hope they kill someone on their way. Lucky for me i was heading to South London to visit family so going North London way meant nothing.
Doing the PCSO role don’t mean you get into the Police straight away. I did apply from scratch and passed the interview. I also waited 2 1/2 years to get in. I love it how your judgeing me without seeing me, or knowing me…is this all based on what you see on the INTERNET?

Two people so far would let a drink driver go there merry way. If it got into the news that a off duty PC was behind a drink driver and did nothing about it, both of you would change your tune and start slagging people off. At the end of the day that’s your opinion and to be frank i don’t give a hoot
