how does the one wearing a rucksack get to eat their pieces out of it if they have glued their hands to the road■■?
surely a classic example of a kadunk as ever ive seen.
the main problem is that they get media attention to enable them to self justify whereas the correct option would be to cordon them off, lift them back to the cells and quietly and discretely kick the living crap out of them and target everything around them to ensure their lives are a misery in the future.
I do like your way of thinking diesel. Other way just come them off and leave them it could be day’s before glue weres off
More narrow minded muppets who have been indoctrinated with the great big man made climate change bs. Everyone should watch Piers Corbyn the climate scientist on YouTube who debunks the great myth
They do my man ■■■■■ in, better not be doing this tomorrow morning when I want to get to the port.

I definitely agree with the sentiment that these are muppets and the way they are going about their protest is wrong.
However I think the irony of using the term ‘narrow minded’ about their stance whilst citing only one source is somewhat lost on you.
I will watch the recommended video later and recommend that you look at the work of Prof James Lovelock- mostly his ‘Gaia’ theory.
i like were it says ’ the protest is due to last till 1500,’ poor wee soul got to get home for tea, then out for a bevy, lol
Here’s some more
About 100 environmental campaigners have gathered for a planned blockade at Dover Eastern Docks today.
Protest group Extinction Rebellion (XR) is cutting off two of the port’s primary exit roads for four hours.
It is reported that some protesters have glued themselves to an westbound section of the A20 in the town, with witnesses claiming one was taken away in a stretcher after sticking their hands to the road.
Police have confined the protesters to a cordoned off area, warning they risk arrest if they leave.
A notice from Kent Police says the measure has been taken “due to the time and place of this intended public assembly, its purpose and the intention of the organisers.”
Unconfirmed reports say 10 arrests have been made, including a 91-year-old man.
The Port of Dover has tweeted to say traffic is moving freely in and out of the docks, although ferry operator DFDS has reported delays in boarding and discharging passen
The protest group previously warned that this will cause major traffic disruption in and around the harbour.
Extinction Rebellion also took over Dover Castle and hung a banner on the castle wall in support of the blockade.
Chris Atkins, of XR Dover, said: “The government is saying and doing precious little to prepare us for what we know is coming"
“As climate change develops, millions of ordinary Britons will face the real and growing threat of food shortages, hunger and starvation.
“Extreme storms and floods are already causing major crop failures across the world, with high temperatures also hitting livestock agriculture.
“This growing crisis may seem far away now but, as the UK imports around half the food it consumes, we are extremely vulnerable to these climate impacts.
“The government must tell the truth and act now.
"The longer we kick the can down the road, the greater the risks of price hikes, food shortages, hunger and, ultimately, starvation here in Britain.
“We’re sorry for disrupting journeys but the British public deserves to know the truth.
"If the government refuses to even talk about this, then someone else must.”
The day also includes a family-friendly celebration of music and information on how to help stave off the threat of starvation.
Similar protests in France and Belgium are coinciding with the blockade.

This does my head in. I had one come to my window in Bristol weeks back. I politely told her size 8 boot will land on your backside if you keep talking to me. She walked away.
What happens after brexit when there is a glue shortage?

i love the irony of the quote…“As climate change develops, millions of ordinary Britons will face the real and growing threat of food shortages, hunger and starvation…with their logic of blockading the port hemce stopping everything including food arriving into britain…
they will achieve absolutely nothing, and basically a small boil on the backside of life in general.
most likely its been a quiet week for hunt saboteurs and tree hugging.

So, you would all be happier if the protests were much stronger, longer, and when asked the protesters argued instead of leaving you in peace?
They could…
Wander around the side of the road and clear up all the litter. I’d happily donate to the cause if they cleaned up all the rubbish along our roadside network and beaches. That would have an actual effect on the environment they claim to want to protect. Instead they choose to clog up the roads causing more pollution and travel problems that inevitably lead to more journeys being taken and therefore more pollution than if they’d stayed at home.
Disrupting other peoples daily routines just causes resentment.

Unfortunately, doing good deeds does little in the media.
Without media cover politicos will do nowt. With media cover they may do summat useful, but the holding of breath until it happens could be fatal.

I doubt politicians will do a great deal due to the protests, maybe a few piecemeal policy statements the same with the response from global business.
When I watched these students etc protest, saying the politicians must do something, I wonder how much they’ve changed their lives to reduce their carbon footprint. I bet almost all of them have signed up to the consumerist society,
I bet most have the latest tech, using raw materials transported half way round the World, with the finished product imported from China, only for it to be discarded for the next upgrade in a year’s time.
I’m sure many will spend their allowance on clothes, made cheaply in the poorest countries, by some of the lowest paid workers, only to discard them when the next fashion season starts. The clothing industry is supposed to have one of the largest carbon footprints of all, with many clothes discard to land fill after a few months.
I bet many want to go to the supermarket and buy cheap food, or food sold “out of season” with little care of how its produced and how far it’s been transported.
I’m sure many will go on an overseas holiday each year and maybe a few weekend breaks as well, taking advantage of cheap flights.
If they really want to change the World, surely they’re a big enough movement to change it themselves by changing the way they live their lives, then global business has to respond. But that’s difficult, far easier to shout at others to change, I’m sure they believe the changes necessary have no impact on their lives.

Hungry people…
Isn’t a problem caused by recent government/EU/US policy. Sadly, people have been going hungry for thousands of years across the globe.

Maybe I did not express myself correctly, it was in response to one of them implying that all British people have a full belly 24/7 now but wont in years to come …
