C,mon Jimmer, don’t hang about.
When you,ve finished the lorries are you gonna be doing cars ■■?
My first car was a 1956 Mg magnet…can yer do that ■■?
Hi Jim,
Great model of Bob’s Scania, as usual great attention to detail, and love the weathering.
Tony’s memory is playing tricks again the MG is his latest car this was his first one !!
I think Airfix did a kit for it if that helps
Picture was taken in the railway square in Prato, whilst waiting to load at Albini’s
Regards
Richard
Sorry Tony can’t get that kit mate, think they went out of circulation before you started Heavys
but I will look on eBay Now then that car that MaggieD put on now that rings a bell I remember seeing that car some where before

You,orrible pair…You,re wrong anyway Richard…my first one was that
Three wheeler thingy that has been posted before.
Surprised at you Jimski,Look above Worcester on the bus…it was in Italy.

Fergie i dont know if you can remember when they built the stillts for the new road up the blanc but every body used to say if you made a mistake goin up there you would fall right in to the middle off the steele works below. I remember going up there one night when it was snowing like billio and we all got parked up on that viaduct, the wind was a blowin and it was scary, the coppers said they would wake us when it was good to go and they did but i dont think many put there heads down up there.
That was build after my time J.D, think it was the late '80’s and finished in the early '90’s…
On the old route down, overlooking the steel works, were a few wrecked wagons, I think they left them there as it was impossible to get them out. Always a sober reminder to take it steady going down, especially in the winter, no prizes for being first to the bottom…

Thanks all for the nice comments about the old truck models, it’s nice to look at em to me they represent a good time in my working life, and I hope that the people who have ended up with some of the models I’ve done feel the same way too,
It beats just looking at photos of the good days ! And talking of the good days I went to see one of my old Guvnors today
Mr Bob Cartwright who has been secretly shopping in Holland and bought a monster of a toy !
Here it is weighing in at I think he said just over 23 tons the Scania 124 is an 8 x 6 nice bit of kit !!
