Jimski At least you’ve got taste, unlike Mappo, look, no sandels, hot-pants, or black socks !! You sure you know Mappo ? I’d never admit it in public !!!

Here is my reply to a post on the thread ‘Mike’s Lorry Pics’
rondavies:
This is a brief photographic history of Mike Sargent’s international driving career which he has asked me to post on this forum. It spans for over three decades.
The 70’s
This was my first truck as a Middle East owner driver. Paid £1,000 for it and managed to do three trips to Kuwait for ASTRANS. I sold it on in the middle east in 1974
HMC was the trailer making side of Eric Bakers Transport Southampton he used to put it on his trailers and some units he had adapted here is the sister reg to the above unit I believe he sold most of the fleet to L J Watkins in St Asaph.
Here is one with a similar cab.
Regards Pat

R Jimski.
Blimey Pat thats a bit of a tall order doin middle east in that !!!
Welcome to the 21st century Jim.
I dont remember that F89 either but judging by the registration number it should be driven by one “Pint Size” member of our group! Who’s NOT on here yet! Are you Pete!
Keep your eyes peeled Jim for a round up this year should anyone like to suggest a date! Comments that August Bank Holiday was too late or previously booked up so any other ideas? The bank holiday sunday was good 'cos few had to work the monday. it’s up to those that want to attend to suggest. You know i will be about.

Hi all, well August bank holiday weekend will get my vote cos as you say gazzer few people have to work on the Monday spose you could have it on a Saturday, as for where i for 1 thought Tim made us all very welcome and laid on a bit off food, I would vote for same again unless anyone can come up with somewhere better.where or when we have it, it would have to be August realy to accomadate Gazzer eh mate.

Re the drivers re-union August bank holiday is good for me cos of reason Gazza gave and i,m happy with Tims place again.
that 6 wheel f88 with old timer written on the back of the cab I remember seeing like on the highway which runs from tower bridge to limehouse in london this was about 98 or97 it caught my eye as an f88 was rare to see by then
Hi Tone will the motability scooter make it that far
The Ex Davies F88 was proabley Paul Ferris’s at that time as he pulled for C&B Haulage.
