Hello Jim
Yet another fantastic model.I spoke to Jim not long after he got the M.A.N he said one of the reasons he brought it was because he was running
down to Greece.
I wanted to go to Gaydon this year to see your models unfortunately i was working hoping to go to the Retro Show.
Regards Jacko

Hello Jim
when ive got some spare time id like to see your models its something id liked to get into at some point.
Regards Jacko
Jacko the GEL all with single or double same number digits are on all our trucks and i have GEL 555 on my personel motor, it signifies the saying " got to gel on " in other words get your ■■■ in gear and get gone. Some numbers are on there third truck as when buying new motors we used to buy a block of new numbers but the DVLA got greedy so we now just keep the same ones and transfer them, hope this answers your question.
Got to say john I loved the blue and white when driving for you but I reckon the older 2 blues and red chassis is much better.
I know customising is much easier with a smaller fleet but I think the older ones are just right and well ahead of their time.
I can see where my current boss, you know who, gets his ideas on detailing from.

You mean this colour scheme Neilas in this pic which i actually use on my computer screen and i have to agree with you. The thing is the main truck makers started to sell chassis painted ready for you and plain white cabs and with the introduction of plastic stick on liverys this was a much cheaper option for the operator, shame but is a sign of the times.
Alright i know this has been posted more than once but it does look good mate.
Im sure ive had that photo as my background in the past as well John.
Totally understand about using white especially when it comes to trading stuff on.
My tastes are definitely changing and I’m now starting to appreciate the attention to detail rather than in your face.
The danes and the Dutch have got it sussed I think and you had it twenty odd years back.
Cheers

What he doesnt know John is that I’m not out til monday evening and enjoying a rare sunday evening at home.
Mind if I remember correctly you always had plenty in Pompey on a sunday evening shipping out. Although to be fair I never minded too much because it would have meant a weekend at home and those didnt come along very often.
Cheers
