Hi Jeremy,
Sad news indeed, a gentleman to deal with both at LTS and SFM, condolences to his family, please let Angie & I know when the funeral is.
Captured on camera on todays visit to the yard with the horses, a tidy lookin outfit from Sparks transport from Somerset. The fella drivin it said he’d just got out of a 53 reg aand it shone just as much as this one. I once bought a " T " reg 141 ex Sparks and a good motor it was too.
Until 1964,Victory Transport’s fleet comprised rigids & Scammell coupling trls. The first 5th wheel artic was Mandator BOR 234C,here seen at Rownhams with a Pan European Trlr
Anyway, i’m back in the sun, G&T for late afternoon!
Here’s a man who appeared in a recent picture when he was much younger…I encountered him in Slatey’s ex workshop.

Ha! Buzzer sounded like one of those Estate Agents that proclaim a “View of the sea!” It is in there somewhere but you just have to look hard for it!
Gazzer we can actually see this view from the top room of the homestead but this pic was taken today from the box seat of the carriage and the horse on the right just said to me make sure your finger aint in frount of the lense. This is the actuall official viewing point of the lower hamble looking towards the IOW, makes a change from trucks.
Anyone remember this man? He did some driving for me after being an owner driver on the Middle East and came from near Petersfield and was good friends with Justin Kelly! Roly Long
