Hi All Pat
The Eurohaul lorry is a 240 F88 the next 4x2 F88 brought after ours a F86 PCR 45 M came before as a perminent shunter (new) & a 6x4 which I think was OOW — M & driv en by a chap Ken Loveless & then Steve Stevenson if my mind is behaving.
Hi Pat.
Great pic of SCR 455N, Tribsa is right it was a F88 240, here’s another shot of it on container work, not your usual Southampton 204 berth, lifting off an empty in Trieste Italy. Keith Ozzard owned it after Eurohaul, and then I had her for a few years good old motor

Thanks Pat.
Good trucks, but “slightly” overloaded in the UK at the time !!! The pup was dropped off for a tractor unit to take onward, but not always !!!

Keith Ozzard, havn’t heard that name for a while, is he still in transport !!
GRV 464 X, I ended up with that,it was cut down to a 3 axle tractor unit by Princes, it ended its days rolled outside Barcelona.

YHO 79V - Now there’s a truck I remember. After Armstrongs it was cut down and converted to a tractor unit and operated by Noel Mitchell in Birmingham (PNM Transport) on international work. He did M/E and Europe with it - brown with stripes on it. For a time in the mid 80’s he was a subby on for MJM. Fiery irish guy - but nice bloke if you kept on the right side of him.
Hiya guys …Just another one for you…This was my last year for R&G but i didn’t know it then(bugger)…
Weren’t there any toilets in that services Steve ? notice you did it against the wheel .
Think that was the remains of the washing up after a cup of tea,and that’s my story…
Come on kerbut, surely you would,nt expect the old man to walk all that way to the services,
as you can see in pic it must have been all of 10 yds. away.
He was probably sleeping off a hangover anyway.

Sorry Swayze 1 but I beg to differ on your comment about Lamberts. You say “Long before lamberts were born”.
Lamberts were running for years from Malvern Road, Shirley. Back in the 50’s it was run by the old man,Fred Lambert.
In the early 60’s on the old chaps death, it was taken over by two of the three brothers,Tony and Ray.The 3rd brother, whos name escapes me, was the black sheep of the family and went off to Australia for a number of years. In those days as well as a fleet of ‘general haulage’ lorries, (which also included two 6 wheeled coal tippers)they also ran a fleet of 4 wheeled tippers. These were in green livery and used mainly on contract with Limmer & Trinidad. They also did quarry work from Somerset. Also there were 2 green flatbeds which used to do asphalt blocks from Limmers’ plant at Wanstrow, Somerset. How would I know all this ? Because I worked for them and back then they were the best payers in Southampton . Nobody knew too much about them because they always kept themselves to themselves and never stepped on anyones toes or pinched anybody elses work ! How many companes can that be said about ■■?

Story Steve ?, that will be right ! If that was the remains of having a cup of tea then I bet you didn’t make it.
And if it was from washing up the I bet you didn’t do that either ! I think it was Kelvin that told me that you had
carried an unopened box of tea-bags for at least 5 years.
Kerbut…Yes matey, was very nice to see you as well, stay well…
Tir Tone …Very nasty not the type of response i expected.Any way I’ve still got the box unopened could an antique by now…
I thought I had a better one jj72
