Youngs have recently been servicing and maintaining the M.A.N.
i drive for Jacksons at their workshop in Eastleigh.
A couple of weeks ago one of the drivers told me that they have
closed the Glasgow depot and made redundancies at Soton and
Huddersfield since Martinis closed down in the docks as that was
the bulk of their work.

You are right he does not seem to age at all! Here is a pic of him at the Simplon some 18 years ago (I think)
Right anyone know whose Volvo WHO 502V this was? I feel I should know

Hi Gary and thanks for that! In fact someone had just phoned me with the very same information about Colin Cahalin used to park out Bishops Waltham way by S&S Diesels.
I was also told that Ian Lawsons long serving F12’s reg is WHO501V and he still takes it all over Europe!

Whilst we are down Bournemouth way…someone rekoned this was a certain Arthur Bessants Transcon. I aint so sure.
Gazzer,is this Arthur Bessants Transcon…for years l thought it said Ressants in the windscreen 
l think the Transcon MTW221P was a demonstrator and ended up with J & M Transport of Bridgend…l’ve been known to get things wrong
