So, if tipping Bridgewater, the Sopagly job would have been on then?
Tipped somewhere France the Thursday, and loaded Perpignan Friday, for Saturday boat home? Sat night in your local pub?
Good for 7 or 8 days pay and a full 7 nights out? (Or so the rumours had it)
gerbil sb152:
Hi all, that was a good week doing two trips to Sopagly.
Sopagly Fridays were a cow. Get there at 07hrs00 to find out you were number 10 or 12. At least half were there the Thursday but they would never load then.
. And you would be booked Sat morning Cherbourg boat.
.
Buildings and big white tanks are still there, but a wine company took it over years ago.
gazzap:

Enjoyed my time working for Roy no flys on him rip
You given up pulling wheelies on Hayabusas yet?
He did have a way didnt he? When there was a rush job (aka a job) he would grab you as soon as you got in the yard: "Im glad its you first back. You`re the only one I trust with this one…"
We all knew he would be saying exactly the same to everyone else…but…well… we did it.
.

Blast from the past HMC aka Hampshire Motor Company aka Bakers transport, wonder if it did ME work, Buzzer
Yes, it did! It did three trips to Kuwait for Astran for starters. It was driven, owned & operated by ‘Hutpik’ who still posts on here occasionally. IIRC it had a 150 Gardner in it.
Always dubious about using pallets like that, if a board breaks, which from my experience they do when using them for a purpose they weren’t designed for then you are in big trouble.
