Hi Kev,
Here’s a pic of her when she was brand new,Peter Tilbury phoned to ask if I would have it for it’s first run,I said “I’ll take it Macon and do a few wine collections” Peter said "I’m not sure, what happens if something goes wrong with it ? " I said “Peter there are quite a few Renault garages in France !!”
Also a pic of it reloading after a Portakabin delivery to Swiss.
Hope you and Jan are well ?
Regards
Richard

Anyone in the know or good at detective work as the picture below I posted on “past present & inbetween” on TNUK of a Scammel with a Kangaroo trailer then when glancing at it I saw what I thought was the letters ACJ and wondered if there was any tie up between Charlie Jameson and MAT transport as we all know Jameson’s were well into Kangaroo trailers, answers on a £5 note, Buzzer
I’ve bumped up the MAT Transport thread you might find the answer there but it looks like a Dutch subsidiary ?

IIRC ACJ Spedition were/are a Scandanavian organisation with whom MAT ran a joint operation.
6 years ago,Maritime acquired Roadway Container Logistics. At the time, the UKs 4th largest container haulier. RCL’s heritage encompasses so many famous road transport names- Eastern Roadways,Coastal Roadways,North Western Roadways (themselves amalgamations of many old haulage companies) Henry Smither & Son were just a few who were brought together under the P&O umbrella-initially in 1972 as P&O Road Services Ltd but eventually through various “reorganisations” becoming P & O Roadways Ltd.
P & O Containers merged with Nedlloyd in 1996 & the P&O Roadways name was changed to Roadways Container Logistics Ltd to appear a more independant haulier with other Container line customers.
AP Moller - Maersk Group acquired P & O Nedlloyd in 2005 & continued to invest in vehicles, rail terminals etc. Maersk already owned Pentalver(& Bowmer) & in 2008 Maersk sold RCL to a holding company - Aegeus Transport. Aegeus was then acquired in 2014 by Maritime & the last connections with many famous names disappeared as the vehicles & livery were rapidly “Maritised”
From Tim Sheppard, via Monty:
He has us not to gather at the pub next sunday due to a family health issue that he has to concentrate on. Not Covid related.
An opportunity to relocate with a clear conscience?
Suggest away…it’s only a week
Hi Gazzer we had better come up with something a bit quick or have a year off.
The intention was to relocate to Romsey.
Oh right is there a decent pub in Romsey, as in decent beer for a decent price
According to Terry Moody and Tony Brady there is. One that for a small donation would provide food.
So i did hear a rumour about Romsey, Terry ,Mr Brady and a certain Mr Duffy.
Hi all, just had a call from Tony Brady he has had a chat with Gazzer and it has been decided to hold the annul bash/get together at the Star Inn In Romsey. Hi Kev,
Will Mr Brady be measuring the social distancing with the stick he used when dipping our wine tankers, if so we may be closer than you think.
Did Monty get hold of you ? as Charlieone phoned yesterday, and wanted to know if The Star took DKV.
Regards
Richard
