Morning “gazzer” He had a small holding near Ashurst on the edge of the forest. A painted pony “mare” running about in the field whinnying, screaming and letting all forest poneys have there wicked way, day and night. Amazing how kids pick thing up, dont you think. Harvey.

Some say I have a small holding in Bursledon but it apparently does not involve any land mass, JD

Thanks, it was one of 3 built for a company who had to back out at the last moment so was a good deal.
I took it on the fuel protest to Park lane in London and it caused quite a stir with other drivers when we all parked up. Not that it did us any good. Harvey

I didnt remember there being 3 H C Wilson had one , and Hills ,where was the third, I think they were originally for Heanors ? I might be wrong

Victory Transport were acquired by the Amey Group in 1968 & in 1972 , Consolidated Gold Fields purchased the Amey Group & merged Victory/Amey into their Greenwoods Transport subsidiary. Greenwood Commercials Ltd & Warrington Commercials (both owned by CGF) were Foden & DAF distributors & by 1975,the 18 vehicle general haulage fleet at Rownhams was made up of both marques.
This 1975 photograph of an S80 Foden was taken in the Rownhams transit shed.Does anybody recognise the driver stood on the trailer ?

Hi mate, All dealers were notified about them and a good deal put in place to move them on fast, you may be right about Heanors being the orriginal customer and i thought there were 3 but you may be right.
Not a big market for such units especially a non mormal brand but I understand it performed well for Hills. Harvey
