Hi all that was a motley crew in the cafe. I went into Southampton docks this morning went to see a docker to find out where to leave a machine and bugger me (sorry for bad language ) it was big scoty looking well still as big and jovial been a docker since February lost his licence for a while due to diabitis but got it back know say’s he enjoys being home every night don’t miss driving at all. In case i don’t get another chance to get on here before hope you all have a happy Christmas and a good new year. Gerbil.

I would like to say a few words about my dad Brian Pacey who died this morning after along illness
Dad started his driving career at Edmond Gerard in 1964 after a couple of years there he joined srt . 1972 he joined greenwoods transport driving there for 18 years in that time he had moved to Oldham. In 1990 he took redundancy from then heron freight. He worked for numerous companies in north west and last company he worked for before retirement was mol containers in Trafford park.
RIP Dad you told some great stories

Harvey judging by the look of it condensed weight springs to mind, some cattle hauling outfit from Ottery St Mary had a 4 axle Volvo rigid with slightly different configuration IIRC Buzzer.
