Badger you mentioned Colin Glasspool well I bought an F88 from him, it was behind a shop in North Baddesley think it sold hardware and that would have been circa late 70’s XBF500M a 240 engine in her as was tutheren, the picture below is in France somewhere on our way to Italy. The names on the trucks were “The Incredible Hulk” which I bought from Meachers OTR37M & “Yanky Doodle Dandy” from Colin cant tell which is which here but Stan Mathews RIP was driving the other one along with me, cheers Buzzer.
Yes they were behind the hardware shop on Botley Road were they not called emery and glasspool transport? or did that come later remember they had some TK Bedfords
Would that be Dave Emery who was at Jameson’s in the early seventies? Transport manager. Or am I getting feeble? Regards Charlie
Charlie

Hi All,
Jeremy I didn’t fall asleep, Angie was down the bottom field and let go of the wire on the internet aerial, and at the same time stopped peddling so I lost the electric. !!
What I had intended to put on were a couple of pics of Gerbil’s plate,so here they are,he even had his name painted on the bumper ! The pic’s are quite old as little Nick in the one photo is nearly 31 years old,you can laugh Jeremy if you remember you went to his christening and you were over 21 yourself then
The other shows a young GazIOW who is nearly 70 now

Jameson Europa. to name but a few.If there is anyone out there still alive who had anything to do with these companies, you must be as old as me! IWorked for quite a few of these over the years.Cracking times.

Baldrick1953:
Is that Elkie on the left Jimmer?
You’ll have to put names to faces for the others… They all look familiar though.
Yes Balders that is Ian “Elkie” Elkins the on his left is Paul Nichols opposite is The famous TIR Tony well you know him cos everyone knows Tony ! Then Stewart ? Kwozzy first time i meet Stewart and me cos I wasn’t eating I had to take the pic I only had tea cos my body is a temple well the leaning tower !!
A definite second career there for Tone as a Fred Dibnah lookalike!
Dear old Elkie… I used to call him " Elkus Maximus " and he would call me " Baldus Minimus " … A great man to run with and a fair old Camion Chef…
Kwozzie… He looks very serious in those bins … Like he should be on the Radio 4 " Today " programme…
Paul… I know I know him but can’t place him… Failing memories Jimmer…
On the Fred Dibnah vein… He’s a God that man… How come they don’t repeat all his programmes on C4■■?
Glad to hear you’re still on a strict diet and don’t look any different than you did in the 70’s …
It’s only me , you and Buzzer that do.
Have you still got some Purple Loon pants and a denim jacket you still fit into?
Anyway. Must go. My mung bean and watercress salad is ready…
