I remember doing a brake re-line on the back end of it, couldn’t get it in the workshops of course, so an outside job, other than that nothing springs to mind…My very first trip out on a heavy was with
Bill Miles and Graham Richardson with the Antar to Cardiff docks for a Tank, for the life of me I can’t remember the trailer, but then we had so much trouble with the wagon that the trailer, if it was the beast, was the least of the worries… 8

For those who knew my dad Jim Marriner aka Gun Runner it’s with great sadness to tell you of his passing in the early hours of this morning ! I am certain he is up there now parked up in that cafe in the sky chewing the fat with all the other Southampton boys R.I.P Dad enjoy your rest x

Didn’t know your dad, but my condolences to you and your family, the man upstairs has certainly taken a few of the best recently…but when they all meet up, theyll do a few miles no doubt…
Jim worked for me for several years he was old school,always on time,lorry and himself immaculate,nothing was too much trouble,he just got on with the job,I also employed two of his sons,Ian and Chris, who followed in his footsteps.
