I did a very small stint on Borden but Dave Elkins was our big contact in there.
The Competition on page 402 is now closed, with no correct answers.
Young Mapson knew the answer, but he was barred from entering.
Senor Kerbut was half right, because he spotted the Spanish speed
limit signs. The photograph is looking East on the A7-E15 near
Aguadulce,in Almeria Province. Senor Kerbut deserves the prize,
but only half a pint of beer, instead of a pint. The “Cruzcampo”
beer truck is on its way Westbound to “Casa Kerbut”
Cheers, Ray Smyth.

Just returned from the August bash at The Wheatsheaf Shedfield. I was the last to leave. Met with some old friends Also Cliff Luxton was there. Made his acquaintance. Really nice guy. Must be. He bought me a drink! Tribsa was there Had some great photos. Also Kevin Furey who I have known since he was a nipper. So where were the top echelon? Thought Buzzer was going to be there with his stall in the car park sell produce at mates rates. Richard and Angie You were both sorely missed. Angie because of her radiant beauty. And Richard because GazIOW and myself had to buy our own beer. On a sad note our DKV cards have finally expired. New ones please.all in all a nice time. Unfortunately my Scanny 93 failed to make it back and I was forced to seek refuge in a young lady’s house.Hence the lateness. On the plus side Rose was still sleeping. Happy day. Take care all. See you next year.Regards Charlie.

Charlie … would like to know what you did to my old mate Monty, you were the last one seen with him, when I phone him last night he was incoherent with slurred speech and memory loss, exactly what did you lace his beer with, if it was ■■■■■■,. …you failed

Dave. The last I saw of Monty he was standing in the doorway of the Wheatsheaf trying to remove his trousers shouting " Any of you girls want some of this? " I hurriedly left. He was drinking Frizzante for some time. Which may explain a lot. Regards Charlie :
Great to see every one Bob Cartwright sent me a text saying he was not to well and had to lay down, ( Frizzanti wound maybe ) wish you a speedy recovery Bob , spoke to Cluey Sat he had a lot on, what with harvest on the go he had a lot to do at home so we missed you Pete too, Gerbil … Well I did speak to him think he said he was away with Mrs for the weekend , I picked up the IOW Gang Rocky Cherrett and Mr Wright then we went to get Mr Richard Green was great to see every one can’t believe it’s 36 years since it gave it all up !!
But what I really couldn’t believe is Gazzer is the youngest there !! Well done Gazzer !!
Regards Jimmer .
Where’s all the pics then boys??
I second that regards Andy
Is Gazzer that old!!!
Obviously something awry must have occurred at the August bash, did someone drop there trousers or what, still no pictures so it could not have been that exciting. Was there a camera ban ? come on someone must have a picture or three. Could not be there me self as Horry had me tipping and loading a trailer in Manchester as no one else around, suspect he told you all a different story though Buzzer.
It was a good bash as always, and great to see everyone again…
I dont remember anyone taking photos this year,( i,d like to be proved wrong ) other than Jimski taking one on Horrys phone
of Steve ( rocky ) Charret, Horry, Gaz IOW, Richard Green and myself…
A mini Davies reunion…
As Charlie mentioned there were a couple of absentees but was nice to see Cliff Luxton make a welcome appearance…
I enjoyed your bash thanks for making me welcome everyone.
Good morning. Baldrick… I found this bunch in the garden, claiming they were still waiting to clear customs. A likely story but as always, got where they had to be when then had to be.
L-R Steve ‘Rocky’ Cherrett, A young whippersnapper truck washer, Richard Green and the Evergreen TIR Tone. Great to see you gents.
Cliff, lovely to see you after a very long time, you are looking really well mate. Apologies for the sideways picture but I cannot figure it out this early in the morning!
Take care, H ■■
