Driving along the lane this morning , thinking of nothing in particular, a name popped into my head.
" Rodney Remould " . Don’t think I ever met the fella but always heard his name bandied about.
He might have been a carrot cruncher so the Poole boys will know if the Soton branch don’t…
Anyone recall him?

Hi Stu,
Hope all is well with you in The Old Country, is it raining ?
Do you mean Rod Redgrave the last time I saw him he was working for Alberti & Santi in an office in Poole on the Cassemobile operation.
Regards
Richard
Charlie good news to report, have spoken to TriBSA aka Rich and he is going to pull in at Tracy Island to pick up your consignment of Pickled shallots in the next couple of days which I have already packed up ready. Mrs “D” is taking them to work tomorrow and hopefully Rich will do the pickup and says his Mrs works in Alton so she will take them to work with her, don’t know where that is but if you cant collect from there or she will pop them round to you if you let Rich know where your mansion is. Hope this is in order any complications PM me and I will try to resolve aka delivery, cheers Buzzer serving the poor and needy far and wide.
PM. They do have a health warning and I am not responsible for after effects so you should warn Rose before consuming or het her to eat some at the same time goodbye Alton !

Hmmmm. I wonder if it was Rod Redgrave? It would have been late 70’s early 80’s…
As I say, I never actually came across him, only the handle and assumed he always shod his motors with remoulds.
Is it raining Richard? Of course!
The floods have caused acres of potholes and the method to fix them in these parts is to send two men out in a pick up one with a shovel one with a bucket , to put Tarmac in the hole. Going to be a very long job…
Does he live in hursley if so it might be Steve Mathews
He was a scruffy looking person. No change then.Regards Charlie
Hello Charlie I aint been here for a while
Hows things with you and Rose?
Hi Balders, hope all is well in the Emerald Isle mate…
Rodney Redgrave, yep late 70,s and 80,s was the right time for him…As I said

and me trying to keep up in my B series ERF ( non sleeper ). Lol. That was an Incotrans job…
While I,m on here, here,s a photo I nicked from F/B some time ago…

Many thanks for the truckporn,as you say great load of lads on there back in the day, how they ever spent enough time at home to tend their prize winning leeks I’ll never know.
Charlie & Rich
Reference the DKV card,if possible could Mrs.M get a plus for me as well, because I’m down to my last million, Italian Lira, about £465.37p.
Had a phone call yesterday from an old friend on Penn Common Bramshaw, who knew Buzzer senior very well,it was a bad line and I thought he was talking about his tractor when he said The Big Ends gone,I said bring it round we’ll have a look, imagine my surprise when he turned up with this !!
Lucky I had my cape on.
Regards
Richard

Yes , I remember them , as you say regulars on TT. One of their drivers was allegedly Alan Shearers Dad. Two of their drivers told me that, but never sure if it was a wind up!
