Maggie D, your photo of the lorry park and snow, looks like Victors near Burgos, is that Renault one of British International`s fleet of 800 trucks back then ?

That looks a well travelled Merc one of John Wards incarnations I should think
Wasn’t that just the highlight of a driver’s day, not so long ago: trying to put the cant-rails back into the top of the tilt frame whilst balancing on a forklift. Try that now and the hard hat’d slide over your eyes and you’d slip off the forks only to be strangled by your own hi-viz vest when it caught on the fork-tips. And to think that there are drivers on the UK Forum genuinely asking how we navigated Europe before Satnavs and are asking how to use a range-change. Maybe it was all longer ago than I thought, so best I stick to the old ■■■■’s forum, eh! Happy New Year. Robert
How DID we ever survive aye Robert.■■?
Happy New Year to you and to all readers and contributors to this fine thread…
Oh and of course to all my mates as well…
Happy new year boys
