Long Departed Southampton Hauliers (Part 1)

Nice photo Jimmer, I don’t remember that particular 88 /89’ but I,m sure someone will.
I,m guessing in was in the latter years of Philips, cos I don’t ever recall seeing them
with a tautliner, just tilts.

Hi All
The Phillips pick is in my collection & I was told it was Mick Hennesys’ but that was by a lorry driver & you all know what bullshjppers they are

Cheers Rich

Its not Mike Hennessey’s he had an F88…240

I did a few trips for Mick in his 88, and you,re right Dave, it was a 240.
I posted a couple of photos way back in the thread.
Hope you and Liz are well Daaaaave.

Was there not a ■■■■ Turpin that pulled for Philips, may have been his. He came and bought a flat chassis derv tank of me and I thought they were joking about his name but it was right enough, but he couldn’t rob me I was having none of that old mallarky, Cheers Buzzer

The F89 was new to John Wyles (rip) he had the air con and the fuel tank made bigger when he started doing Middle East…when John got rid of it Phil Grant drove it for another bloke doing Italy

Hi Jim,
all well thanks, unfortunately at the moment I’m away all week tramping containers around the country so I don’t get much time to come on here (or for modelling!) but as I said I do enjoy catching up with you lot on a Friday when I get home, this week was funny as hell, I bet you lot have a real hoot when you meet up! I’m back on tour work in March so I will have bit more time to browse TruckNet!

Hi does anyone have any pictures of the trucks operated by Graham Moody, my Dad drove for him in the early 70’s but never took any pictures sadly.
