Rich would that be for the crane which was used to off load from the boats as I did a bit into the power station also have done heavy stuff to ESSO which came into the power station by sea and just take it to the refinery one load I recall was around 200 tons on a eight axle rows flat top trailer and they had to build a temporary road to get under some pipe lines, a long time ago in the late 60s :unamused:
cheers Johnnie

Hi all just thought I would jog a few memory cells with these two pictures from tonight’s Echo, don’t know if you are all old enough to have sailed on the early one’s but I remember going on them as a kid going on holiday in the very early 60’s and always remember the snorgis board where you could go back as many times as you like to get more food self service of course, I think Mappo was cabin boy on these early ships and I expect that Fergie can confirm this and they never had one arm bandits on them either, cheers Buzzer.

Hi All
Two like that were done to Reditch quite often even with normal tractor units

Not to nick Buzzers’ info but he hasn’t posted here:
The info that John “Animal” Smith has departed to the great truck stop in the sky.
For a bit more Info go to Davies thread.

God bless John, a pleasure to have known you and be guided by you at my young age of 23…particularly on the insight of entertainment in Barcelona!

Hi All
