So. Thirty Police Officers injured last night, water cannon deployed tonight.

Man shot dead, MP hit by flying brick, four hundred extra Police deployed.

Anyone fancy a night out?

Aye,

listen to what others are telling you. :unamused:
I delivered a load to Tesco Ballygomartin Rd up The Shankill in a TESCO TRUCK about FOUR HUNDRED METRES on 12th July Night 13th morning from where those PSNI guys were injured,
never seen any trouble :exclamation: :exclamation: :exclamation: :sunglasses:

So it’s all fiction. All the video footage, TV/radio/newspaper reports. All made up. The people in hospital this morning are there for want of something better to do.

Yes indeed, just because you “never seen any trouble” we should take your word for it.

Its all VERY localised,
you paint it as if there’s a riot going on round every corner :exclamation: :exclamation: :unamused:

no harm scanner you actually havent a clue about northern ireland and its culture towards trucks. Take your head from your hole and stop talking balls. Ive lived here all my life and have never heardoff discrimination toward your registration? The fact off the matter is, tensions do flare at this time off year, but never have truckers been targeted due to their, reg, creed or culture. After all loyalist/nationalists havent a clue who’s driving the truck? And further more there are more and more irish hauliers buyin ENGLISH plated trucks and not re registering them, so where does this stand on your targeting point?

LOL this is pure nonsense I drive on Donegal plates and there are drivers on the boats who will not speak depending on what firm you drive for. Regularly when chatting to people on the ferries out of the North once ask who I drive for they suddenly see their long lost mate on the other side of the boat or will speak to you when on their own then blank you when their mates are around. At this time of year certain areas of Belfast are to be avoided on be Irish plates but to be fair both sides have their fair share of idiots.

Absolutely true.

It’s seems to be taking a strange twist up there this year as they seem to have fallen out with the Ivory Coast for some reason. They are burning gold, white and green flags instead of green, white and gold ones.
I would have thought the Ivory Coast was a bit far for a conflict to develop between Northern Ireland and them no?

The amount of corners is irrelevant if it’s happening on the corner you’re parked on.

If you want a cabin on your own tell them you are from Zimbabwe and ask to share with a countryman :stuck_out_tongue:

Passed that very corner(Crumlin Rd/Twaddell Avenue/Ardoyne shops) this morning 0330 in a Tesco truck,
not a sinner about apart from a SINGLE solitary PSNI land rover parked on Woodvale Rd.

Yeah.
It’s all over now. It’s not last weekend anymore, in fact it’s nearly next weekend. You know, finished, yesterday’s news.

Forget about it, let go of the past.

Oh, wait…

If you have never been to NI, the media reports can make it seem very threatening, I have been over many times, and spent a few weeks working at one of Sean Quinns enterprises (Derrylin) literally within yards of the Border, somewhere in my Army time would have been considered bandit country, and you do take sensible precautions, any ex squaddies that had tattoo’s identifying themselves as ex military kept them covered , but it wasn’t just me on the job there was 15+ of us drivers and add in the trailer men probably 25 folks from the NE of England in UK registered trucks and vehicles, plus a number from Martrain a well known NI heavy haulier not one got touched not one wagon got damaged, we completed the job and went home all in one piece, 99% of the folks were the same as anywhere else, at most was a couple of muttered comments that soon got shouted down by the locals. and this was all before the ceasefire/peace accord. Don’t believe the hype

I’ve lived there.

The number plate thing is bull. English reg numbers don’t make a blind bit of difference these days and don’t even stand out, my ma’s been driving her car on a generic non-personal English plate (it came on it and the dealer didn’t re-register it) for around 3 years now, and guess what? No one gives a ■■■■.
