Lived on the bus a year today

Well some thought I was mad when I said id bought a bus and was going to live on it but today its 1 year since I moved on board.

I’m living in Tuxford at the moment and working for walkers. Theres still loads to do on the bus but I’m sorted and it will get done the next time I have a few months off work. I managed to get 3 months off this summer and enjoyed every moment.

Just thought I’d bob a few pics up

Blimmy i forgot about this, i think its awesome! What do you do about having a fixed address? For insurance, bank etc.

I use my sons

Looking good, if I wasn’t embarked on a fixed course of my own I’d do the same.

What happened at SG haulage in Saxilby??
I almost went there but ended up doing my own thing…
Steve the boss seemed like a nice man…

I would have you a old Mac Computer with Monitor
Just Mains,no 12 Volt. Sorry (But if you have a Generator)

Harry Monk:
What’s that thing on the roof in the middle?

do you mean the alarm Harry?

Ah yes, that would be that then.

Surely that bike on the front obscures the headlights?

So in real terms what’s it saved you and what’s it costing you ■■

I think you should paint it Matt Black btw  mad max style

Ermmm, that would be the whole of this years Summer then, quite a bit of Spring, & a few weeks into Autumn as well.

I’m not jealous, I’m not.

I’m quite happy going walk-a-bout in my 20 acre woodland, with a little bit of wild camping thrown in on the odd weekends.

Rock On :exclamation:  Marlow, followed your posts from the beginning looks like everything is working out right for you atm  I’m sure there’s quite few on here who would love to be doing the same thing if their life circumstance’s allowed, me included.

Good luck for the next 12mths ;

My equivalent of rent/mortgage, council tax and water rates is tax (£165) test (£394) and insurance (£186) on the bus or £15 a week

I’ve only had it on the road since the beginning of May and since then moved round. But had time off. Walkers is ok for the moment as its handy for the parking and the work is varied.

I don’t find a problem with getting water, I can carry a months worth and since having the solar fitted the system has kept up with itself. I never pay for parking and find that the presence for security is all farmer want.

marlow i was following your adventure on facebook but you disapeared … :open_mouth:

infact this very afternoon ive been looking on ebay at the price of a single decker to do the same based on what you’ve done …
