Little help regarding cab hygene please

Some really nasty people on this forum.

It’s just goes with the job if you see somewhere that’s ■■■■ you treat it like ■■■■, I mean why are people so upset, let the first stone be thrown who has not ■■■■■■ on the side of the Road or ■■■■ in a bag, it’s part of the job,

And the reason you do that is because the toilets you experience is so foul

How about using your own sleeping bag if things are that bad. Personal hygiene is not a joke really.

There are some very angry people on this forum.

A fair point. Maybe they get angry because SOME people would spend money on their bosses motor and set a rather unhealthy precedent for other drivers, but good on you for potentially making the job EVEN worse…

Right,
I’ve been to the company and seen the truck and to be honest it’s a ■■■■ tip.
The mattress can and will be washed and a new cover fitted, so problem solved in that respect.
I will work to get the remainder of the vehicle clean and fit to live in.

Many thanks for the positive replies, apologies to the O/p for hijacking this thread.

But irrespective of whatever job I do I have personal hygiene standards and will not work in crap, why should I?

There are clearly different standards for everybody, as I can see by the replies so I consider my question answered.
Thank you.

Thank you.

Have you not asked them to valet it for you at their cost?..it worked for me at my last job.

If not tell them you will be cleaning it up to a decent and reasonable livable standard, but you will be putting the time spent on your time sheet…as I did with my present lot, which they were ok about tbf.

If they think that is unreasonable it will give you an indication of how they look upon their drivers, and a reason for deciding whether or not you want to work for them after all. :bulb:
In other words show them from the start you have standards and will not be treated like a ■■■■.

Got it  …I’ll mind my own business.

£3000 for a new mattress…are you off your rocker…search the bed shops, for a kiddie mattress, less than £100…but keep the old one in case you leave and want to take your one, failing that turn the mattress, and fit a mattress cover over it…job done.

If your in a Union, you and your co-partner need to state your case let them deal with it. If not go in together and tell the TM your not prepared to stay out in a [zb] heap. No joy move on get another job.

You don’t need a union to tell the firm how unhappy you are
