What’s the big problem with having a few pints when on a night out? 3 pints of average strength beer will be processed by the average adult male body in around 6 hours.
So as long as its at least 6 hours, say 7 to be on the safe side, between finishing drinking and driving you will not just be under the limit but quite probably at zero.

no problem with 2 or 3 pints after work as the majority do but some have more than just a few beers and leave when the bar closes and leave early in the morning, it has been known for the police too start pulling trucks leaving truckstops with bars in the hours after 4am and catch a few truckers still over the limit

Parked here tonight…seems to be very full.Good food, lively atmosphere…but…the amount of alcohol being consumed is a bit alarming…the tins of Stella pass over the counter in a fairly steady stream…one young east European lad necked 2 of them in the time it took me to drink a cuppa!
I’m no prude and I like a drink but it really is about time a zero limit was introduced for LGV/PCV drivers.
If you choose not to have a drink that is up to you, but don’t try and impose an ill thought out point of legislation on an already as it is over regulated industry, I am responsible enough to decide what is safe for me as it is, and do not need to be dictated to by the government that I can not have a pint with my supper, so can I suggest that you try and resist concerning youself with other driver’s drink intake, and leave the less responsible drinkers amongst us for the Police to deal with.
