Let 'em all in dave

Has David Cameron lost the plot , does he really think that what we need is an open door policy to allow Indians & their families here, there’s no industry or work for our own folk because it wall went to India & now their feeling the pinch because big corporations are shifting operations further afield to the likes of the Philippines where labour is even cheaper & fewer laws to protect workers … good on ya’ Dave , let em in …

Check out the parliamentary arguement when fellow MP’s call him out for being a corporate puppet.

So you think indians bringing their businesses over here is a bad thing? This country is in such a mess its a joke, this is the start of a total shift in money and power and if we alienate ourselfs with these up and coming countries there’ll be a big decline in our standard of living.

The British motor industry enjoyed its best-ever year of exports last year, with over 1.2 million vehicles exported.

Leading the growth is Jaguar Land Rover, which enjoyed it’s best-ever year, and it’s now an Indian-owned business.

The Indian investment in JLR has created all kinds of UK jobs, from very well-paid posts in R&D to positions for production line operatives.

The Brits couldn’t do this when Jag and Land Rover were British owned, and the Americans didn’t do it when JLR was owned by Ford.

I think it’s time the English stopped being so patronising towards our former colony.

The two coming super-powers are India and China. One of those countries uses English as the language of business and has functioning legal and governing mechanisms built on British democratic practice. The other has a culture that is based on totalitarianism and unquestioning obedience, which goes back beyond communism to the days of Chinese imperialism when they were responsible for about one-third of the world’s economic activity.

I don’t like Cameron, but he’s calling this one right. Even the English and main Indian languages have a common route, whereas the Chinese do not even recognise the rest of humanity as being of the same species as they are.

I fail to see the relevane of your post, but in response to it, people are struggling because they’ve over stretched themselfs, pensioners dying because they havnt got enough money isnt eactly a nationwide problem and they’ve could of saved for a private pension, if you become ill and need money for care why should the tax payer fork out of it while you keep your house and saving?

The millions that want to come here will do whatever it takes to get here. Many can’t get a legitimate visa, So they will set up a LTD company in India, Then apply for an easy access business visa. Millions will be at it.
The legitimate business people of India can pretty much come and go as they please as it is, So why create a loophole for the rif raf?

Because you have allready payed your taxes all your life…and national insurance…go again.

You are right though, there were 150 car makers building stuff of such lamentable design and quality very little of it could be exported even if they weren’t on strike.

There are now 5, building vehicles that are in demand all over the world…thanks largely to foreign investment, and creating very high-value jobs in R&D. Ford, JLR, Nissan all have technical development centred in the UK for Europe and beyond, plus there’s all the motorsport stuff which UK plc does better than any other nation on earth.

Great so we can all look forward to the type of economic growth that we had in 1972 which was higher than anything before or since.

What we’ve actually got is a global free market economy in which the bankers have drained the wealth of Britain and given it away to make countries like China and India richer. Our exports are actually paid for using our own money which we’ve given away by importing stuff that we don’t need that we could have made for ourselves from countries like China and by direct foreign aid which has now allowed them to buy up the ownership, technological rights and production of what we do still produce here being increasingly transferred to those countries.Resulting in even less jobs here.

The fact is we’ve lost more sales and jobs that were based on the domestic market than we’ve gained or ever will gain in the bs so called export markets of the global free market economy. While we’ve got the trade deficit and other economic figures to prove it.

If that’s right then the whole so called bs cradle to grave social security and NHS system should have been broken up and all contributions to it returned on the basis of breach of contract. In which case wage demands would have reflected that fact because there’s no way that anyone could have afforded what you’re describing while still paying existing taxes and national insurance and without wage increases in addition. It’s usually those who shout loudest for a privately funded social security and health care system who are the first ones to say that they want to keep the state funded system when it suits them.Such as the situation whereby homeowners lose their assets to pay for their care, while those who’ve already been provided with state funded housing at subsidised rents, don’t pay anything. :unamused:

Don’t make me laugh, these days a private pension is an absolute waste of time. I was paying into one for over 25 years, and after Gordon Brown did a raid on it and reduced its value by a third, then the annuity companies screw everything out of you and give you a pittance it isn’t worth doing. I have a pension fund of close to £100k and at current annuity rates the current system will let me have less than £5,000 a year if I’m lucky. I stopped paying into it 5 years ago and have since put my money into ISA’s and shares and they are doing better than the pension, even after taking into account tax relief. We now have plans to downsize, move abroad so I can take the whole pot with us and invest it as we want to, it’s the only way we shall have a decent retirement.

It’s the financiers and the financial system in this country that have screwed us for years and will continue to screw us til we die

Anyone who has been to India will see what their business model is…It is the largest chasm between the rich and poor of any country, with little ‘sharing’ of wealth. Nepotism rules, slave labour is the norm.
The caste system is repugnant, the way in which they treat their women could be better…One good thing though, at least they aren`t Muslims

If they do come, they will do as they always do, exploit, ■■■■ financially and leave.

There’s a few people missing the point here. This is not going to be the same joke as the eu. And it only provides more proof to euro sceptics like myself, that we don’t need the eu to trade and survive. We need trade agreements with India, China, Brazil and the US. Then pull out of the eu so all the flip flop brigade will need work permits. Tear up benefits so the ponces will be picking sprouts and there will be no need for migrant labour. Call me Dave is on the right track imho although I will still be voting ukip

Funny how they have been successful here with the same workers but different top level management?
