You didn’t want to go up Main Road by Homebase because of the sign, so please tell me why you ignored the " Width Restriction " sign which is on the road that you did finally did come up from the other direction ?
Because the width restriction sign from the other end is denoted with a distance, three quarters of a mile to 7ft width restriction if i remember correctly. So i assumed if i can’t go in from the main road due to the weight restriction, that i would be fine going in from the other end and i would find the buisness park just before the width restriction. You follow my logic?
it’s like an episode of petrocelli on here - what’s going on ■■?
it’s a good job old “stardust mike” don’t post any more else they’d have him burnt at the stake - he used to chat on the cb, take photos, wave to people and allsorts
and for gawds sake nobody mention the hanbury davies driver tugging one off at the wheel…

Careful of what Mike?
Laptop picture aside, by the way you were still in charge of the vehicle, did you take the other pictures ie Dartford whilst driving?
Careful of judging people or acusing them until you have the facts, you won;t be the first to get egg on their face.I aint in court here and you don;t know nothing, your just assuming. Lets not leave the laptop picture aside, you mentioned it, i’m in charge of the vehicle when i sleep in it and i have the ignition on for my electrical equiptment and as far as i am aware there is no law that prohibits me from using a laptop in a stationary vehicle? And now you’re ‘asking’ if i took pictures at Dartford whilst driving? Just remind me Bob, why are we having this conversation?
Let me make this very simple for you as you seem to be on the back foot here and not answering the pertinent question.
If you took these pictures while driving then you were driving without due care and attention. Elsewhere on this forum is a thread regarding the fatal rtc on the m6, it is likely that the driver of the hgv which killed a mum, dad and four children was otherwise distracted.
If you kill someone you are causing death by dangerous driving.
You as a driver are in charge of a heavy goods vehicle, if you are taking pictures, usng the mobile, fiddling with your sat nav, playing with your lap top, making a brew, eating a sarnie whatever you are going to have an accident and will more than likely kill someone.
The reason I said take the laptop picture aside was that you appear to be stationary, albeit in the carriageway.
If you can’t deal with the fact that you have posted material which appears to be taken by you, while you are driving and in charge of a HGV; And be criticised for leading people to believe that you are irresponsible behind the wheel then that is your fault, not mine or anybody elses.l

I’ve told you i never taken pictures whilst moving ,what more do you want? There’s a lot of ‘if’ and ‘appears’ here Bob. Frankly your getting boring now, lets put it to bed.
We won’t need any scene of crime investigators or Police with you about, just some snaps of the accident scene and you’ll have it all sewn up.

And for christs sake don’t anyone show them the post where i describe how to take the limiter of a Volvo FH !!!
This morning I did a search for diaries it came up with quite a few there are pictures in a lot of them these pictures also appear to have been taken whilst the lorry was moving but I have no evidence wether they were or not, so can I ask why this particular diary is being singled out,is it because of the tradegy that happend on the M6 ,if so no-one know’s the reason for that accident yet ,yes there has been speculation as to what caused it but until the police say for definate what happend speculation is all it is.
Now Mike has said that when he took the pictures he was STATIONARY
so can we comment on the diary and not make unfounded or untrue allegations please

It’s not a question of “us moderators” sticking together it was a genuine question as to why this particular thread had been singled out.
I’m quiet sure Mike is big enough to fight his own battles and doesn’t need me or anyone else to do the job for him I wonder if it would be the same for other posters in this position though
The reason that this thread was highlighted wre that it is the first diary I have read on this forum.
The OP has posted images and words intimating that he has taken them, several also appear to have been taken whilst the vehicle was being driven.
In my opinion this is irresponsible, criminal and downright bloody dangerous.
Given the recent tragsdy on the M6, I felt that this warranted challenging.
Mike has said “i never taken pictures whilst moving”
Therefore the pictures are not his and the words are misleading, frankly it’s all make believe.
If he had written an accurate diary and not postedthe pictures NONE of this would have happened.
Sadly there are drivers out there who do anything but concentrate on their driving, wheel and it is up to people like me to pick up the pieces.
If someone choosesto behavein a manner that could jeapordise someone’s life I will challenge that behaviour as I feel the siteadmin and mods should, as after all this allegedly " THE UK PROFESSIONAL DRIVERS FORUM (INTERACTIVE)"
You have said your piece and had your response.
Carrying on with this even after stating you wouldn’t get pulled into a ■■■ for tat argument isn’t going to change anything or anyones minds.
You are clearly going to acheive nothing from keeping this going.
So grow up , stop crying about it like a child and move on …
(personal attack removed). Mike has probably done more miles in reverse than you and all the rest of the jobsworth going forward ! He and the rest of the diary posters on this site are aware of the dangers while being in control of HGV’S and im sure dont need reminding by (zb) like yourself…

Very nicely put lennox1. Think that just about covers it all

For gods sake don’t show him any of Coffeeholics video’s
Which, when quetioned about them, he explained that the camera was mounted on a beanbag on the dash and set recording. All the editing was done at home afterwards.
Now whats to say Mike doesn’t have a similar arrangement and just occasionally presses the shutter button, no different to turning the heater/a/c up a notch or changing the channel on the radio.
I know someone who likes to take pics on the move, they have a camera attached to their dashboard with gaffa tape, and a remote switch for taking the pics. So he isnt driving along holding a camera and taking pics as such.
Concentrating on the road, and just pushing a button occasionally.
Other people have used camcorders to record their journey, the camcoarder is again attached to the dashboard and recording all the time, they later take stills from the camcorder if they wish, not commiting any offence.
Other people take pics on the road buy having a second man or someone else in the cab taking pics.
There is also the fact some people take pics whilst stationary which may look as if they are moving.
I guess there is lots of if’s and but’s and unless you have 100% prove someone is doing something illegal maybe slanderous to accuse people of doing it.
