Latest fleet addition

For those of you who want to learn in a “real” truck, I’ve just collected a MAN TGX XXL artic with a 13’6m trailer. And if that isn’t a “real” truck, not sure what is!!

The MAN TGS (a little smaller but still on the big side) is still on fleet and we have a full range of w+d outfits with choice of manual or auto.

When I’ve discovered the black art of posting photos and when the vinyl man has worked his magic, I’ll stick a photo on here.

The vehicle is available for booking from June.

As my wife says “size dosent matter” LOL

Paul

She didn’t say that to me - - but didn’t need to LOL

I’m guessing the tgx xxl is an auto so not quite a real man’s truck just yet

It’s a real truck for the “up to date” man. I know what you mean but we’ve gotta move with the times.

Pete

I have my training and test in June, does that mean I can get to have a go in this new big boy toy?

Make a call and ask for it. Don’t see why not.

I will do that on Monday.

I have already passed but can I re book to do it again haha

I stood at the front of this beast the other day and I just thought “Jesus…can I really learn to drive something this big!”

… and can you?

Pete

The first thing I did when Tim told me it was your new Arctic was grin like a child in a toy shop.

So to answer my own question, I WILL learn to drive something that big.

Looking forward to seeing a picture of it so I can show wife, son, dad, mum, cat, neighbours, postman what I’ll be learning in next

Here you go

Dreading the bill for the vinyl - - big is not always beautiful I suppose!!

Pete

How big’s the steering wheel Pete? The MANs in our fleet have quite the most enormous wheels, far bigger than is decent or necessary. It’s a real workout just going round corners, and after any kind of manoeuvring in a yard I need a little snooze to recover from all the exertion!

Not taken much notice TBH. It’s black (I think) and definitely round!

Pete

Nice truck, def large! Quick tangent - on the pic those Iveco mirrors seem to stick out much further than the ones we’ve got, did you change them for learning vehicles? Take someone head off if get too close to kerb[emoji6]

Every MAN I’ve driven has had a steering wheel the size of a dustbin lid.
