Walker Bros. of Heysham were bought out by Clarendon Haulage( Reg Holt) and KEN MILLER TRANSPORT from Wheelton. Clarendon are sill going today, run by Stephen and Alan Holt. They took over the transport side. Ken Miller took over the warehousing side, Ken has now retired.

Hiya again yes it was a very sad tail that was his name was neil can’t think of his last name
at this moment in time but no doubt it will come back to me.
He was due to start a new job at the end of that shift.It was me who stopped the jock who caused it
I got the message on the CB when happened He was come towards me,one of the tipper lads from the
area was blasting it out just lucky that got him square wheeled other wise he may of got away with it.
After he got paid out with the claim he got himself a m/bike and killed himself very sad cause he such a grand

Glad you said clean it works well been 20 years now since we started for Pyes at Lancaster it started as winter work we had 3 on for Pyes then they went bust and a lot of there reps set up on there own and bought off Dugdales at Clitheroe and they asked us to work for them to move the extra loads and we’ve been on ever since we also have a Daf on as well, both drivers do the coaches iff req so yes it’s another egg in a separate basket we try to have a lot of baskets we a few eggs in each.dont forget to callin yourself to see us iff your passing Dennis
