Lance finds use for surplus exhaust tail pipes , and tunes-up
his piano.
No doubt there`ll be some bum notes emanating on his tours.

Bet she,s back on the road buzzer !
This is one for you Guesty 44 . I bet you wish these were F88s. Here are some of Bowkers new Volvos. From the front with their little changes, top corners white and sun visor strip white. They look pretty good to me . But round the back, low fifth wheels with super ■■■■ lead on ramps designed to take off both mud guard tops when first coupling up to a trailer and then when the driver hears the bang and pulls out opf the trailer quickly and the air suspension jumps up and puts the fifth wheelpin through the battery box lid. Who at Volvo made and fitted these ramps to haul 20 vehicles and painted then chassis red, perhaps its a ploy from Volvo to boost sales of rear mud guard tops or someone who has never driven a HGV and has never picked up or dropped a trailer. Sorry to go on but this stood out a mile to me when I saw these vehicles today. Lead on ramps should always be higher than rear mud guards.

I agree with you Lance lead on ramps should be designed to prevent damage to the rest of the unit if the trailer is too low. At least you still have lead on ramps over there over here they don’t bother fitting them to unit’s or A trailers so it is important to make sure the trailer is the right height before reversing all the way under it. I must say air suspension makes it easier but we still have to be careful

Hiya Lance I am not that clued up on the mechanical side of it but it looks a bit iffy.
That switch at the side would it not raise the chassis alone above the Mudguards?
For sure the fire ext at the back of the cab that has been fitted I have seen this before.
Not much chance of getting to it i fire starts were it does norm comes out of the rear of the cab or the tyers
Should have easy access should it not. When the tankers arrived we had them mounted between
the axles at the rear of unit.(Not at the funny farm past them days)
Take care .Hiya Ian too.

You can see the difference better on this shot. White corner panel under windscreen, grey sun visor and white headboard. Ollertons has chrome strips on top and bottom grille. I think it would look better on black but that’s just me .Very nice wagon with correct lead on ramps.
