Labour calls for new for transport minister

That cheap foreign labour is like crack cocaine to these people - they know it’s bad for everyone long term, but one more hit on the pipe won’t hurt!

Labour, the party of the working class, stabbing the working classes it so despises in the back and wondering why said unwanted plebs shun them.

Yes, it’s a funny old world when the Conservatives believe the answer is for the haulage industry to raise the wages of the working class while Labour say the answer is to force wages downwards for the working class. It’s no wonder no-one votes Labour any more, even in their traditional heartlands.

It would a funny world if true

The whole system (house of cards) is built on unsustainable cheapness - cheap labor to ‘‘remain competitive’’, cheap goods imports (China/Vietnam/Pakistan/Bangladesh etc. etc.) to prop up the consumption/retail, cheap oil/diesel to make trips/flights more affordable than they really are/should be, cheap money to prop up stock markets/real estate and on and on.

I was hopeful the covid crisis would wake people up and force a restructuring and back to reality but apparently it’s all going to be green in the future where we’re all going to be working from home and be famous youtubers and influencers and stuff is just magically going to keep flowing in from all over the world in exchange for ever more worthless papers or digital signs in perpetuity.

And this is why we have a Conservative government,.and this is why people like me voted for it. :open_mouth: …where’s my mate Darkside when you need him?

The Labour Party are a joke and a complete ■■■■ insult to it’s’‘Salt of the earth’’ working class type founders.
Party of the working class my arse. :imp:, they should hold their heads in shame.

Yes we should all look to the tories for our moral compass! Boris Johnson - a great man for our times!

In the hands of Starmer and his cronies, I believe the Labour party needs to be utterly smashed at the next election, and I would recommend every sensible person vote Tory for maximum damage against Labour (except where the local MP is a trustworthy socialist).

“Sensible” “Vote tory…”

?

I thought the theme of my post was easy to pick up on by the use of the shock emoji…evidently it wasn’t. …so you thought you would jump in. :unamused:
Nobody is saying the Tories or Boris are/were the perfect option, it was the best of 2 evils.
A bit like being given the choice of dying in your sleep or burning to death.
Hope that clarifies this time.

Torres or labour hasn’t been much different over past 20 years since the Blair times.
Blair wasn’t labour or working man he was just a torrie aswell

Corban tried to go back to Labour’s roots as social party and they tried hounding him out god knows how many times.

I’m in my 40s and the way things are I will prob die before a Labour government get back in the hot seat.

Best of 2 Evils :open_mouth: …so ‘vote’ for a lesser evil ?, jeez when are folks going to awaken to this-two wings of a dirty bird-@hitshow that rolls out every 4 years? l really don’t get it. Relentless, unwanted immigration, concomitant greenfield envoiro- destruction (to accommodate them),weaponised DNA assault on population, etc…et-frickin-cetera and still the penny stays resolutely un-dropped :open_mouth:. ‘Cue ancestors dying for your right to scribble a cross next to one coterie of Bilderburg-Oxon/Eton @hitehawks (tory) over the ‘opposite’ cadre of Fabian/LSE @ankstains-(Labour)’; and all for the delusion some type of political need will be facilitated as the country progressively degenerates into the dust. Given a choice between hanging or lethal injection wouldn’t a …‘thanks, but no thanks’, be favourable? :unamused: That intelligent people can still buy into this Farr ago suggests there’s a parallel-dimension playing out on our planet. You would think a few dots would have been joined at this point.

That works like everything else…only if EVERYBODY subscribes to it, a bit like a union with a small ‘u’ or a proper Trade Union presence in a firm.
Thing is everybody will not subscribe to it by either not voting or spoilng their papers, so consequently ‘YOU’ not voting is like handing your vote to the option that you least choose.
Not an ideal situation or method to chose a government, but nevertheless a sad FACT. :bulb:

Another thing is if you do not participate you kinda forfeit the right to complain about the result when it is not the one you would have went for…whatever that reason may be.

I dont mind anyone “complaining” - just because you win an election doesnt mean you are infallible.

Not as simple as “all northern bigots together collecting ■■■■ memorabilia” - times have changed.

What do you…

Suggest we do when the next 4 yearly annual ■■■■ kissing fest begins?

I’d love an alternative but there just isn’t one with the present system.

They are all the same…I voted cons because they were the best option to get out of the eu. through the years the party slogans have gone like this ,THE POUND IN YOUR POCKET, TIGHTEN OUR BELTS, JAM TOMORROW. FORGOT …YOU HAVE NEVER HAD IT SO GOOD, …BETWEEN THEM THEY HAVE F…ED THIS COUNTRY AND THE PEOPLE AT THE BOTTOM

Not really, if you walk into a shop and they have nothing you want to buy you walk out again empty handed, you don’t buy something you know is rubbish just so you’ve earned the right to complain about said pointless shop.

I too have given up voting, i make the exception of voting in a referendum where you can vote for what you believe in, but as for voting for what you believe is the least dangerous of two failed dead parties just to keep the other one out or to cancel someone else’s vote, then no.
The country is bolloxed, decades of voting for the least worse option has brought us exactly to where we are.
