Kind of bricking it

Got into work this morning expecting a bollocking over a parking fine goes into office to explain and was given the keys to the firms flagship motor an XF with all the toys. That’s not the bit I’m bricking well it is a little small scratch on this and it they will be all over me like syphilis on a prossie what I’m bricking the most is learning c&e again and riding solo. When I mean again its 12 month since I last drove c&e and I’ve just come out of a 6 wheel tag just looking for pointers and any tips

Thanks in advance

My top tip is don’t scratch it.

This is sound advice.

You’ll be ok, it’s like riding a bike you never forget might be abit wobbly to start but you’ll soon be back on form. Bald bloke you want to print that quote and hang it over the traffic desk having seen the state of your motors when I was down today. :unamused:

+1 and you’ll be under so much PRESSURE because EVERYONE WILL be LOOKING at YOU :open_mouth:

You passed a test just do your checks then just check through again then take it nice and STEADY.

get back safe then you can put ur finger up to the Who’s arse did you creep up to get that crowed

It’s just a truck dude :unamused: :grimacing:

If you scratch it, set fire to it. Simples

Ride it like you stole it mate.

If you do scratch it just blame an agency bod.

On a serious note, the fact that you’re so bothered about scraping it, suggests that you’ll do everything within your power not to. You’ll be fine! And when you get back, totally intact, you can buy me a pint for having faith in you.

Just go an do your job, your qualified and obviously competent otherwise you wouldn’t ask, have confidence in yourself but any doubts get out an check or ask for help.
Good luck.

I remember, when I did my class 1 assessment, I did ok, don’t think I was going to win any medals, but I never clipped a single kerb, or fluffed a single gear change.

Instructor said to me, if you had to, could you get this parked up outside your house. Was totally confident that I could, so I told him so. “Right,” he said, “so you can drive it, all we’ve got to do is get you through the test”

Never driven an artic since, but still convinced I could get one in to pretty much anywhere. Reversing scares the bejesus out of me, but if I have to get out of the cab 20 times, then so be it. Christ when I started on 7.5s I used to back up to gates etc, and you’d have got another 7.5 between me and the gates. What the hell, at least I wasn’t doing it the other way round and wiping out the gates. All comes with practice

my first reverse all tho years ago was a blindside ,tried a few times an failed but a couple of oldens jus said “spin it round and go in yourside ,forget the one way system ,do it the easy way” never forgot that advice. .always look for the easy option.

If you scratch it, make sure you got some T-Cut handy… if you cram it…still pose the question " do you think it will T Cut Out…

Or park it up and say nothing like so many ppl have done in the past…lol

Thanks nove getz ian58 oh and nick2008 where’s Wally too and anyone else I missed went out with head honcho today I was like a kid who’s just had his stabilisers taken off

[zb] happens mate. I’ve only ever had minor scrapes, but coughed to all of them (well nearly) even my TM says, you can’t drive 150,000 km a year and hit nothing!

Just take my time eh and be steady

relax and enjoy it
