jon

is that part of the driver cpc.did he knock enough cones over to pass

the reason he missed so many was hes a monty python fan
every 100th cone is BOOBY TRAPPED
classic sketch

sort of on topic - roadworkers were getting annoyed that someone kept knocking over their cones every night so they filled one of them with concrete - they found a biker with a broken ankle the next morning :open_mouth:

The thing that I have a problem with is the fact that members of a highways department risked their life to set these cones up to start with.

Now thanks to these two morons they have to do it all over again and I pray that they made it back to their families in one piece.

Bloody idiotic morons :imp: :imp: :imp: :imp:

The clown who did this should be caught and returned to the road works to put them all back while being a pedestrian

This is just some idiot playing silly and dangerous games with other peoples lives and the vehicle filming should have if possible phoned the vehicle no. to the police for them to take the appropriate action as it was Dangerous driving as any one of the cones could have been launched in to the air and hit another oncoming vehicle.

I think you’ll find the person filming it and the person doing the knocking down are mates and are working together to create these videos. He has several different ones on YouTube all showing the same kind of stupid antics.

No one encounters that many incidents of this nature by chance so they are setting out to do it for the benefit of the camera.

I beg to differ, nothing funny about [zb] stupid behaviour like that. As was said, what if the cones had hit an oncoming vehicle?

Maybe if this was at a stunt show, then perhaps it might entertain a few brain dead whelks.

i agree, the cones are not there to be a source of amusement to some small minded to**ers they are there to protect the persons working at the side of the road and to control traffic around works being done to the road nothing funny about what that person was doing. its a shame you cant make out the reg on the back of the trailer as i am sure the police would have been interested to see that footage, people like that are giving the haulage industry a bad name as with modified cars they lorry drivers are getting tarred with the same brush as those muppets.

Mate of mine going out threw dover last week hit a cone on M20 that had been ■■■■■■■ across the road,24 hrs later and a thousand pounds lighter he was on his way…

If the pillock who filmed this little stunt could see the look of terror on someones face when they come across a cone in live lane, they wouldn’t be laughing!! It took me 20 minutes to compose myself :open_mouth:

Would it still be funny if:

  1. The vehicle were yours and it had your company name on the back doors  (Of course, you wouldn’t mind at all.)
  2. One of the cones takes a deflection and dents your car as you innocently drive to/from work.
Of course, you’d be too busy having a laugh to ask for his insurance details, so any damage wouldn’t matter.
  3. One of the cones takes a deflection and knocks one of your relatives off a pedal cycle as they innocently go about their business
Would it still be “total class on the funny side,” if they were injured

The “missing link” is alive and well on YouTube, and it seems he even has a fanclub :smiling_imp:

A large fine, lots of points and a re-test are the potential prizes for this standard of driving.
Especially as he’s supposed to be a professional. :unamused:
:grimacing: Oh, I forgot to mention the increased insurance premiums too…

Filling the cones with concrete probably wouldn’t do much, as all he’s doing is clipping the bases with the edge of his tyres, it just pings them out to the side.

They have a long section of coned roadworks on the A465 from Abergavenny out to Ebbw Vale, every time I go there cones have been flung all over the place, presumably by trucks doing this either by accident or on purpose, the problem is they fling them right into the middle of the opposite lane. Couple of months ago, there was about 8 or 10 cones staggered down the centre of side of the road, I had to stop, get out and move the first few, then the roadworkers came out and moved the rest. Had another load tonight but just managed to squeeze past em.

You can almost make out this guys numberplate in a couple of the vids, think wherever he’s doing it, the videos would be best sent to the local police, some future incidents and cross referencing with cctv might bring something up. Hitting the verges and throwing mud everywhere takes the ■■■■ too, be hilarious if he lost control and the trailer ended up flopping onto a car coming the other way :unamused:

Well I recon the last letters on the number plate Are HMC we all know its a 4 wheel daf 95 the trailers 4.2 mtrs plus and the drivers a D**k Head
All we need now is to wait for the ■■■■■■ to wipe himself out :stuck_out_tongue:

I used to ride sport bikes - hitting a cone on a roundabout or trying to brake on a big patch of mud in the dark could equal death.

These guys are fools and deserve to get a slap.

The police have started to examine youtube videos and attempt to prosecute using that evidence. They can also prosecute the person using a mobile phone to film the action.

These videos are pretty low quality but the police have access to forensic video enhancement software which would quite possibly enable them to identify the registration and serial numbers of the truck. That, cross-referenced with roadside CCTV could be enough to prosecute them.

On one clip there are road marking clearly visible. I think it’d be worth forwarding these clips to the relevant police authority for that area.
