Ok, but even if he is, sometimes it’s better to say nowt, rather than waste your time trying to defend the indefensible, …‘‘mates’’ or not.

Not the best of places to try a u-turn.

Local to me. Back in the day before they changed switch island that bridge was 15ft plus Only 14.3 or 14.6 at the edges. Ive never known anyone to hit it.

Large turning area 5 metres before plus could of used the asda car park. Not the best sign posted low bridge. Sign on the M57 etc. Im guess its the council making trucks use dunningbridge road.

Janos:
Back in the day, when the retail park was an industrial estate, I used to work out of there, and going under that bridge countless times a day. I cannot recall there being a restriction that low on that bridge? Anybody know different?
Either way, it is not well sign-posted. That does not exonerate driver. That is desperate driving. Especially when there is room to turn at lights or in Asda car park.

Agree the only restriction was on the left hand side. Either 14.3 or 14.6 can`t remember.

The only load cell that was not working was the drivers, make him take another test , the public must think we are muppets, with drivers like that, and its only going to get worse

He is old enough and has been driving long enough to know better(a member of the old school) as they say!

If every driver who had epically ballsed up, through incompetence and/or stupidity, …(or even shear bad luck on a bad day) had to re.test mate, the transport yards would be full of trucks wanting drivers.

Half the drivers wouldnt get past their first year me included so we really would have a driver shortage.
