It all came to an end when K&P Iddon has had its licence revoked on grounds of repute and finance by North-Western Traffic Commissioner Beverley Bell with effect from midnight on the 20th of March 2007.

The former ERF/MAN agent, which had a licence for 60 vehicles and 70 trailers, had been called before he TC because of concerns over prohibitions issued.
These included four S-marked prohibitions, showing a serious lapse in maintenance; the illegal use of a vehicle in Scotland for eight years; and a number of drivers’ hours and tachograph offences,
The TC found that directors Philip and Keith Iddon had lost their repute as transport managers for an indefinite period.

Worked for K and P for a while mostly hauling roofing felt. We used to backhaul with Steel,Paper,Timber almost anything, roping and sheeting skills had to be up to scratch as it was mainly flat trailers !! Shame it went the way it did though, they only had about 15 motors when i was there but i believe it was nearer 60 before they finished .
