Just when I thought I saw everything

Untwist your ■■■■■■■ junior. I wasn’t having a pop :unamused: :unamused: :unamused: Hence the “sarcasm” notation.
You’re so quick to jump on your high horse FFS :unamused: :unamused: :unamused:

Ah, sorry. How silly me. How I could even think about that the idea of placing links ridiculling Poland in this threat can be in any way related to my nationality. After all these friendly (and completely unrelated to my nationality) discussions we had before on Trucknet… :unamused: I am glad that you were so kind to explain my misunderstanding. Thank you.

You are very welcome young man. If I can be of any more help don’t hesitate to ask

    See, now you get it.

I can take the ■■■■ out of England and you out of Poland. It’s OK for it to be the other way around too without it being insulting or a prelude to conflict.
A bit of banter and ■■■■ take makes the world go around a lot easier

That’s something new on TNUK  Usually symetry applies only to the first bit  But I am fully with you on that

Good night

Ok so there is a minor issue, really don’t think it would cause non English speaking drivers a problem though, the concept with red and white arrows is used all over europe, most would get it without thinking twice.

Oh and nice use of the old ‘so called professional drivers’ Orys. Maybe some of us just don’t have sign OCD and don’t really care

So is the concept of blue squares and red circles…

especially that it was inside some factory, still it is not the way it should be.

So it wasnt on a public road but on private land?

The beware of the ■■■■■■■■■■ sign

Most normal people wouldn’t think twice, they’d see the road, see the sign and instantly get it. Blue square or red circle. I really don’t get why you are making a mountain out of a molehill, it’s fairly simpe to me, and most ‘so called professional drivers’…

My point exactly. I see blue square with arrows on it, I assume I have priority. I realised that it’s wrong only after I was sitting there for a while and read the sign underneath. Many of people here also did not realised that the signs are upside down at first.

It was not my intention to make a huge discussion. I just put it for laugh, then I was surprised with the amount of people who can’t see anything wrong with it. I am with you on it: altough it’s silly, it’s not a big deal, I went there four times that day and survived, I doubt anyone will die there… But it is enough to say “because it is not danger, it is all right”? As the same combination of signs in some busy place with limited visibility (for example before one of these hump bridges somewhere in Highlands where plenty of tourist drive) could end in some more serious trouble.

Why would you though? It’s clear the larger white arrow has priority, that’s not a British thing, that how it works, the fact the larger white arrow has priority over the smaller red arrow is surely common sense. Red means stop. Not to mention the fact the road layout would often reinforce this fact.

And switch can spell proffffffessssionalll

I’m surprised nobody’s mentioned the real reason why they’re wrong…

Red circles tell you what NOT to do. So a sign telling you you have priority, surrounded by a red circle is a paradox.

‘You have priority’ should be on blue signage.

‘Give way to oncoming’ should be surrounded by a red circle.

The arrows are the right way up and down, it’s just they’re both on the wrong type/shape of sign

Er no! If they did this the arrows would be inverted and the signs would make even less sense.
See this ;

Because both signs are upside down and at the opposite locations to where they should be.
He is stating that a better and far cheaper remedy would be to turn them the correct way up and swap them over rather than just leave them in situe and put extra explanatory signs underneath to cover up for the initial error.

Why do people have to be [zb] when someone posts about something they don’t understand?!

Could you please tell me what I am, the swear filter has edited the juicy bit.
I understand that the signs are technically incorrect and that they should be inverted and swapped over, I am not as thick as my user name would suggest.
The point I am making is that the signs convey the rules of the road adequately and I think that 99% of the population would understand what the priority is.
Contrary to your assertion that the signs underneath are to clarify the initial error in signage, they are ordinarily displayed as a matter of course and can be seen here; google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rct=j& … GU&cad=rja

Because it’s clear that blue square with arrows on it means that I have priority. This is common for all Europe, despite that some countries have arrows of different shapes and on opposite sites, when they drive on left. Therefore more natural is to look at the sign as a whole, not focus on the small bits within. Its lkie taht tirck wtih taht eevn if you sawp letetrs isnide the wrods, as long as the general shape of them is roughly the same, nobody will have troubles to read them.

Good lord, all this over a bloody sign that everybody understands!! If you don’t understand it you shouldn’t be bloody driving!

[sarcasm]Obviously our signage is not up to Polish standards  [/sarcasm]
