Just when I thought I saw everything

I know that Britons like to have things their way, but…

I would thing that the simple way to correct someone’s mistake would be to unscrew the signgs and put them correctly. But obviously it is easier to just add explanatory signs underneath explaining what the signs SHOULD mean…

WHY■■?

cause there are sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo many numptys that still don’t understand :unamused:

Maybe they would be more sure what they should do if the signs weren’t put upside down?

there not they upside down …

Interesting…

Because according to the little book called “Highway code” they should look like this:

Are you referring to the different designs of the sign or the arrow colours?

Does it really matter?

You should make sure you have your own house in order first before criticising others… Shape of the signs aside, the actual markings on them and wording beneath is correct. Perhaps you should read the Highway Code to familiarise yourself with the UK road laws :bulb: .

Am I missing something here…

In the bottom picture, the sign is upside down and the text bit is wrong. Should be “Priority over oncoming vehicles”

…My will to live perhaps… :frowning:

Nothing wrong that I can see

priority over oncomming vehicles is the blue one the big white arrow pointing forwards

give priority is the red circle with the bigger arrow pointing backwards.

Unless the signs are at the same end of the same road I can’t see why the OP has his knickers in a twist?

Because both signs are upside down and at the opposite locations to where they should be.
He is stating that a better and far cheaper remedy would be to turn them the correct way up and swap them over rather than just leave them in situe and put extra explanatory signs underneath to cover up for the initial error.

Why do people have to be ■■■■■■■■■ when someone posts about something they don’t understand?!

I see nowt wrong at all

The arrows are on the correct side and colour

No they are not. You are wrong.

.
Signs with a red border tell you what you must not do (e.g. speed limit signs).
Blue signs (except on a motorway) give you information.

So the ‘priority over oncoming vehicles’ sign should be in blue as it is advice and the ‘give way’ sign should be red as it is an instruction.

Really !! - care to explain why ?

It looks to me like they’ve put the wrong sign with the wrong wording and turned the sign the wrong way up to compensate
