I did hear the traffic reports today, and wondered if it was the truck in difficulty in Cambridge, and that truck is certainly in difficulties
Was that one of curries highly trained, non British drivers.

Curries were once a well respected outfit, with a group of bloody good drivers once over, one or two of which I used to know. They have either retired or moved on now.
I reckon it’s a peanuts and monkeys situation now.

You’ve got it in one , the time he wasted getting stuck He could have driven to next junction and turned round and been back on track
Now he’s got tea biscuits and a nice fine also probably no job
About 3 months ago I was on a Saturday night out at the hollies and was talking to a curries driver. He was weekended from Saturday till Monday morning and as he was on salary of £480ish a week all he got extra was £45 for his 2 nights out. The real worry was he thought he was earning a decent wage.

eastern bloc, flip flop agency. limper.
I was amazed when I saw this as I came off the opposite slip road - I loaded just behind here and was even more amazed it was still there when I came back
The blame realy lies with speed limiters and automatic gearboxes. Both the Forth road bridge incident, and this unfortunate mishap, would have been dealt with by a competent driver with an un restricted manual boxed lorry…
This is stupidity of…
Galactic proportions.

How on earth would a manual gearbox make the out fit shorter? There isn’t enough room to spin it manual or auto.
