just been for an interview

Business express wanted me to deliver 100 parcels a day for £250 a week does that sound any good?

I think not ohh well got another interview with jewsons thursday in norwich anyone know anything about that job :unamused:

The word parcel is where I would have stopped being interested. Pallet is a much nicer word, especially when used in the same sentance as the word forklift.

Good luck with Jewsons though. ‘Hiab’ is nearly as nice a word as ‘Forklift’.

Cheers andy where do u work and what do you do?

nosey git aint i

Pmac i used to drive for Travis Perkins its an easy job and i never had any pressure, almost all done by crane so easy life, but as tradition with builders merchants the money is rubbish dont expect any more than £13k a year for 40 hours.

What is the best paying work for lgv2 i dont mind nights or being away a few days and any tips on how to get these jobs would be appreciated thx.

I’m doing agency with Contract Personnel at the moment. Getting some experience, only passed the test a couple of months ago.

Jeez. I’ve just seen a class 2 job advertised with a company which is about a 20 minute walk away from me for £8.91 per hour (48 hour week - nights) ! I’m sure they operate Scania 17t/18t wagons too. I’m very tempted…

Isn’t that the one for the local council driving road sweepers and with ‘heavy lifting involved’

Saw that (or similar) ad myself recently whilst browsing the Job Centre site.

Cheers.

Well I get £6.50ph for my Class 2 labours, which I’m happy enough with. But it illustrates some of the crap wages on offer round here.

No Rob, it’s driving for a company called DTS, delivering garments to stores nationwide. I’m 99% sure it’ll be delivering to New Look stores.

Not really. It’ll take you a hell of a long time to do that. Parceline pay their employed drivers £320-ish a week to do around 50-75 a day.

i was talking to a ups driver the other day he said he had an “easy day” 90 drops :open_mouth: :open_mouth: he also said moneys not bad tho £8.50 ph for van driving

Where are they based? Is it through an agency? Nearly £9/hour for class 2 work in Donny would be a bloody miracle :open_mouth:

Sounds crap - you’ll spend more time driving a wheelbarrow than a truck.
