Why do they have so many estates like Dirft (“Crick”) that are nowhere near where any drivers actually live?Loads of people live near Dirft. The population of Rugby for instance.
The reasons that Dirft is where it is:
Next to M1 and on A5
Next to a railway line.
Plenty of open space to build warehouses.
Not near residential area so people won’t complain.
Give it time, I deliver to a purpose built facility which was in the middle of nowhere and now they have built houses along the only access road. There will no doubt be complants and then hours of access will be restricted.

I use Rugby Truckstop regularly, pretty secure, foods not bad and the showers are some of the best around imo, Ill be gutted if theyre closing it

Best put the rumour to bed and dissapoint quite a few of ya…the so-called reposessed trls the rumour mongers claim to have seen are being moved to other depots because there"s not enough room at the rugby truckstop for them when we move up there on the 22nd of this month…going to take about a year to totally revamp the place…sorry to upset ya but not going bust just yet…profits will be down but who aint sufferring in this climate so there"s ya answer to the rumour…■■■

If there’s not enough room at Rugby why go there on the 22nd and why not leave the trailers where they are?
If they’re fridge trailers coming from depots which are closing then why not just sell them instead of storing them.
