According to James Bateman,s profile he has been at it, (driving HGV,s that is) for over 20 years. Like a lot of other drivers on here, he is doing his best in this recession, doing agency work.Good Luck to him. If he chooses to post a positive comment about J26 Truckstop, which is not “going with the flow”,- of negative comments about the place-, then fair play to him. It,s called Free Speech.
Well just to add my thoughts , for what it’s worth , I stopped there today for dinner . I was served by a very polite young lady , and only waited 5 mins for my meal . The meal was plentiful and tasty and not the grease fest you can end up with at other “truckstops” . Toilets were clean too . I know the place is far from what we all want to see if compared to euro stops ,I still think it’s a good start and is needed in the area . I’ve stopped here overnight before too , but agree it’s pricey , and it’s handy if your tight on time , bloke in the “yard” is always helpful but again I agree it’s like driving on the moon.

I will defo use it again for meals but not for overnights as I don’t like truck drivers that talk utter balls when in public
