hi all,
during the early - mid 90’s scania offered a deal that joints just couldn’t walk away from.they gave, free of charge a brand new p cab 113 tractor (l15 jmh) to them, with an option to purchase after 3 years, which they promptly did.after this several more scania’s appeared.as i recall? this one was new to long serving driver peter hardy and as with all peter’s trucks, his 1st new one was the renault,it was double/treble shifted :sunglasses: .tony mercman123,you will remember warwick gittins had the sister motor to this one, though warwick’s had the overdrive box.i can’t recall these scania’s being any trouble at all :sunglasses: .

Hi Andrew this gives me good memories its the last Joints lorry he drove . He was the night man for Warwick . Tony

I have put theses pictures on before but they can go back on

that was my first lorry i drove for Joints

the shuner i used

some of the other Shrewsbury lorries

the Scania my dad drove

Tony

The Daf in the back ground was the last lorry I drove . Tony

Some pictures of Shephards at Ardwick Manchester . I was there for 2 years it was dusty when it was dry and muddy when it was wet. I usually drove the old Daf. I used my old merc a couple of times and it was better than the Daf . I also had one of the new mercs a couple of a days but with no windows it took some doing ! Tony

Hi Komatsu that cafe in Wolves was it Featherstone ? At around this time Joint were backloading bricks from Gornal Wood near Sedgley . Also Richardsons of Oldbury were doing a lot of steel out of Margham one of their Atkinson units was used by Joints as a shunter . regards kk

Yes that’s right they did change over at wolves . They then got the yard at leaton and then Hanwood up and till Joints packed up . Tony
