hi tony,
yes that’s pretty much the same place,i even crossed the road and climbed up the bank.the original photo with g800 loaded with scrap would be returning from shotton during 1991-ish.have some of my joint album’s out ready to put through my new scanner.will post some soon.
regards andrew.

Well stop “poncing” about Andrew and get them flowing onto the thread, drip feed if you like!! Gives us 'old uns something to keep “coffin dodging” for!!! Cheers Dennis.

hi all,
here’s a few to get us going.a proper yard :sunglasses: .oil stained concrete, tyres and rims everywhere and drums full of oil,a ladder.everything the “elf in a safe tree” man says you must not have or use  brilliant.joint motorways, llewellyn’s quay, the docks, port talbot :sunglasses: .b531 acy was a 1625 merc. bought new in 1984 and worked very hard indeed.these gutless mercs.were an excellent workhorse.

from 1989-1993 when joint’s did a lot of steel to germany, the german steelworkers didn’t know what to make of jm45,this old tandem was made in house by welder tony “tefflon” millom.

d38 lwn a 1628 merc.new in 1986.the last 28 joint had with the range change zf box, after this they came with merc’s own 12 speed which was rubbish.

f126 ath, another 1628 based in shrewsbury, new to roger grafton.seen here in leeton shrops. loaded for the abbey.

now this was a real merc. :sunglasses: seen here when new in sept. 1989.

Great pictures Andrew keep them coming in . Tony

a247 glc was driven by peter morgan when he had this accident tipping in south cornelly.peter only had a cut on his knee, though he was a bit shacken up :unamused: .

I drove 1625’s for a couple of years. It never broke down and was comfortable, but gutless even empty you were down the box at the slightest bank, it was blood, sweat and gears.

John.

a248 was i think owned by hales cakes prior to joints getting them probably not carried to much weight untill we got hold of them .blast furnace slag to cornelly quarry and dust from quarry back to steel works lovely little job.not much mileage between 8 and 10 miles regards martyn.

i think i progressed from a248 glc on the quarry to the erf used to spend hours down yard polishing that truck and painting the wheels.
