The hourly rate is poor so you would think they might give you half a chance at earning a decent crust with some overtime, but a whole £1 an hour extra ? whoopee

My girlfriend is an HCA for the local Health Authority and she gets about 15p per hour extra for Saturday and Sunday working.
My first ever job at 16 was working in a hospital, everybody got time-and-a-half on Saturdays, and dubble-bubble on Sundays, but those days are simply long over.
I work Monday to Friday, and park the truck up at weekends. I could put somebody on it at weekends, but nobody would pay me a better rate for a Saturday or Sunday job and diesel isn’t any cheaper at the weekend…

Can’t remember although it isn’t really relevant, NI is part of the EU. And yes, by omission the legislation does say that you can’t take a weekly rest in a cab, I believe Coffeeholic has explained it in some detail.

With wages like that, I wouldn’t do it if they put you up in a five star hotel every night. 
After all is said and done…yup, it’s the discount card (and the free parking).

Yes, you get a discount when buying a staff…
Sounds like the “inflation figure” that’s based on the cost of things like stepladders, pouches, tins of bully beef, and the cost of a genuine electronic calculator that does …wait for it… plus, minus, divide AND times!
Just ask yourselves where all the money that these ‘entrepreneurs’ and super managers have been saving has gone. I don’t believe much of it got to those that work hard and want to get on.
