Hopefully, it should be like Australia and America if you have a skill we want and can speak and read English, don’t have a criminal record then come on in, also you should not be entitled to health care or benefits and should have to get insurance for a limited period , that will stop the spongers.
Think we as a country could learn a lot by the immigration of Australia, Canada and the USA… with criminal background checks, education check and proof of someone literacy capabilities. Then there’s the case does your skills meet the demand of the country in question and do you have a set figure of income / savings for financial support for 12 months for you and your family…
This process of getting residency isn’t completed in a week but I have friends that have applied for some of the countries above and the process has taken anywhere from 3 months plus…
Don’t think its a case of stopping the spongers but getting ppl in to this country that are firstly required based on skill set, that integrate into our country…re language and understanding of English and ppl that don’t just come here so screw the system for a free ride because they don’t get the financial support in there own country…

You lot must be joking. We’ve got uproar at parliament because Labour and their bum sniffing greens party mates want to stop Tony Abbots government from turning the illegals (they prefer to call them “boat people” or “asylum seekers”) away. They’re put in camps on Christmas Island or in Papua New Guinea and then they have a riot and wreck the joint, which brings bucket loads of sympathy and support from their ■■■■■■■ supporters, and sooner or later, the silent majority will be overruled by the vocal minority, which will take us back to square one.
I’ve just read how Subway in England has now decided to exclude pork from their menu and only use Halal meat so as to not offend their muslim customers !!! We already have most of our meat prepared halal style for take aways and restaurants, so it’s a world wide thing isn’t it.
We’ve got cabbies that can hardly speak English and don’t know their way around; how do they get jobs ? Simple, they use someone elses ID’s; these are a range of nationalities and religions.
Immigration is only difficult for genuine immigrants that go about things the right way which most of us have done, so good luck to Switzerland.
By the way, I don’t much like Tony Abbot, but at least he’s trying to stop the, until now, unimpeded flow of illegals.
Sorry if I’ve gone off on a bit of a rant… haven’t had a drink yet.
Just building a boat see you in a few weeks
The scary thing in the case of Switzerland is how close the vote was. It’s obvious that the country is being pushed ever deeper into the EU project in all but name by it’s French speaking sector and industrialists looking for cheap labour together with the fact that, like here, the immigrant community gets a vote on Swiss national policy when it’s been given residential status. As for us if the Swiss government has lost the plot in that regard then we probably don’t stand a chance at least without a massive UKIP majority in which case it would still need to dictate far more sricter and favourable terms, regarding our future relationship with the EU,than the stupid Swiss government has so far got itself into.Which at present threatens the unity of Switzerland as a seperate sovereign country at least in terms of the indigenous Swiss population.
The fact is the EU needs to be smashed before it gets the chance to finish the job of turning us all into one big federal zb up.In that regard UKIP needs to not only get in with a majority but also massively toughen up it’s so far too moderate anti EU stance and policy.

The question is exactly what ‘skill sets’ do any other nations have that we can’t provide for ourselves. In addition to which we’re already an over populated Island that needs to close it’s doors not find ways and excuses to keep the cheap labour scam going which is what the uk’s immigration policy has historically been all about.
As for Canada,USA and Oz they are all basically ex British colonies that became what they are because of their British base. While ironically we’ve now got no more, probably less, rights to work in those old British colonies than someone from Asia or Russia etc etc has.
Cheap labour causes wages deflation which balances out alll the money printed over the past decades which is, of course, very inflationary otherwise.
The only way poor people can make lots of money out of this system is by borrowing loads of money, and strategically defaulting it.
“Hard Graft” hasn’t paid for many years now.

Inflation is price led not wage led while wages only affect economic growth IE the more people earn the more they spend which makes more employment and yet higher wages etc etc.The idea that inflation is wage led is all part of the same scam which is all about making a few people at the top very rich at the expense of wages and economic growth.
As for people borrowing money to deal with the symptoms of low wages. That will only work while the poor mugs who are being ripped off by low interest rates are willing or can even afford to provide capital for nothing to keep the whole scam going.
The Swiss are not in Europe and were able to hold this referendum, and still only got 0.3% over what was needed, we are and are therefore bound by the rules on immigration. Even if we got out of Europe tomorrow all we could do was stop it there & then, obviously that’s not going to happen without loads of discussions. What would you recommend doing with the ones already here? It’s not as if we could send them back is it.
I wouldn’t expect to see any change in this country for at least ten years, regardless of how many ukip MEPs we end up with.
I’m paying less for my food, untility bills, insurances, day to day living each year for the last 5 years.
…But my wages have fallen faster still, and the cost of fuel is still generally high.
We’re living in a deflationary environment dressed up to look like an inflationary one. This tricks those paying debts into believing there will eventually be an end to it, and tricks those in jobs not to dare be pushy enough to demand higher wages.
In an inflationary environment, people have more MONEY to spend rather than credit. They find there is a shortage of goods and services available for the same money next year as this, so they end up exepcting to pay more next year - and they do.
That, consequently is NOTHING like the scenario currently being played out in his country for the past few years.
For someone who refuses to use credit like myself, I find that if I can’t afford it, I don’t buy it. What I DO buy though, gets cheaper year on year.
I even filled up this week at 119.9p which is the cheapest I’ve paid for about 5 years now…
I reckon I’m better off (for the time being) than the inflationary scenario that might have me earning £1000pw as a trucker, but also have monthly outgoings of £3000 a month, half of which is my mortgage. Better to earn less, and spend less than earn more, but still be broke by sunday morning each week.
If the environment suddenly changes from deflationary to true inflationary, then I might be right-royally shafted, because I doubt I could step into a £1000pw job any time soon to make up for the true cost of living crunch when it finally comes. Fuel prices alone are not enough to precipitate it. You’d need sharply higher interest rates and no more cut-pricing by supermarkets at least before any real inflation can take off in this country that’s been bumping along the bottom for years for ordinary rank and file workers.

Firstly UKIP MEP’s are irrelevant anyway because they don’t have the power to get us out. However that’s not the same thing as a potential UKIP majority government assuming the people have the sense to put one in.
Assuming that we ever were to get such a government and we tore up our EU membership as of midnight on the day of the election result then there’s absolutely nothing stopping the repatriation of any EU immigrants who are here under EU rules.
As for repatriation of any other group that’s obviously where the BNP and UKIP differ. No surprise that the pro immigration socialists and cheap labour lot brand both as so called ‘racists’ to keep their respective bleeding heart unite the world and cheap labour scams going. The fact is what Hitler did was racist.Everything else is just the choice between the natural order of nativism as opposed to cheap labour or bleeding heart socialism.

In reality inflation is just a bs idea used by the ruling elite to cover the manipulation of the economy in favour of those at the top at the expense of the general workforce.IE when they see the workers getting ahead in terms of wages they cut back on what the money is worth by raising prices until they get the value of money back where they want it.What we’re seeing now is that scam having been taken to it’s logical conclusion whereby if they reduce the value of what wages buy much further the economy will collapse. As for interest rates that’s all part of the scam in which investors are subsidising the low wage environment. The fact is if investors are actually paid what they are owed in terms of interest the whole scam would be seen for what is in being theft of capital and wages owed for the few at the top running it to get rich at others expense.

I like it when people say “immigrants should integrate into our country”. Have you ever seen how British people live when they live abroad? That’s right … for the most part, they set up pseudo - English villages where enclaves of expat Brits live. Most of them make little or no attempt to learn the language or understand local customs and practices, forming cricket clubs, Christian churches and English language only libraries and schools, among other things. I spent most of my childhood in a variety of Middle Eastern countries and this is how it was in all of them, and my dad made more of an attempt to integrate than most. Immigrants into this country are not doing anything different from most British immigrants into other countries.
Immigration ha
Should be like Australia
This is THIS country’s rules
If you don’t agree or like it
SOD off to a country that agrees with YOU .

It’s ironic that the pro immigration lot usually contradict themselves by calling for both so called ‘multi culturalism’ and ‘integration’ when the two things are totally opposite. The latter idea actually being a form of reverse racism.
The issue is actually just a total red herring anyway in that it’s not ( or at least shouldn’t be ) about any willingness to let immigrants live as they wish to live. It’s all about the point where those different cultures start forming local, potentially future national, majorities thereby turning the indigenous population into foreigners in their own country. In addition to which is the issue of distortion of labour markets in developed western economies like this country is supposed to be.
Like I say, it amuses me when people bring the issue up, as though the Brits are the first to put on a turban and pop down the local Mosque as soon as they settle abroad. It amuses me even more when unintelligent racists think that “different cultures” are " turning the indigenous population into foreigners in their own country". That’s just hilarious.

It’s obvious that the democratic process is already split along ethnic lines which is why no Party would be stupid enough to put an indigenous candidate up for election in somewhere like Southall. It’s then just a question of numbers and concentrations as to where and when the indigenous population loses it’s country, culture and government institutions to foreign ethnic populations and who understandably want to be represented by their own ethnic government representatives.
