No POA where I work. Against company policy. Driving, other work or break & disciplinary if fiund to have booked break whilst tipping/loading or waiting to tip and load!
Tell that to your DCPC trainer and ask him what law we’re breaking. He won’t be able to answer because we aren’t!

And back to the OP …
If your working ie loading unloading doing paperwork or anything else then you cant be on POA … if your sat on your arse and able to drink tea P eat read a book (of your own choice in my case Beano) and YOU KNOW ABOUT THE DELAY its POA …if you can walk away from your work ( ie sod off into town go to bed play with the sheep if you so wish) for a period of 3 hrs or more you can bang it on REST
From what i’ve read by the OP he fully understands POA, and he is happy to book it if he can get it.
This may give some further clue as to the OP’s concerns, one which you’ve answered…

viewtopic.php?f=7&t=105088I like that one though, "if you know about the delay its POA ", it sort of rhymes !! Even though its a load of rubbish !!what is my answer or just POA as a whole
Anyway what do ya reckon, them filling in POA on his time sheet for him and telling him to book more, where’s it all going to lead to? I find it quite funny, POA is not working and being available to go to work and they’re telling him to do more of itPersonally i’d ask the manager to book me on duty for 2 hours before i’m due and i’ll book that as POA, times that by five days and there’s 10 hours POA booked in straight away !!!
don’t know how his boss can alter his tacho records as that’s where vosa will take their info from …as for his work sheet all he has to do is sign it at the end of the day and print and initial WITH NO ALTERATIONS …then any alterations will be out of his hands or failing that photocopy and keep a copy in your own records
Well 2 days on I’ve had 1 day where I achieved his target and the other I failed ,luckily for me his focus seems for now to have gone away from upsetting drivers over poa to upsetting agency drivers by telling them he’s not paying them 10 hrs guaranteed pay per shift and he’s taking 45 mins break of them per shift not 30 mins.
Will he ever stop upsetting folks.
Best bit was he’s just had a meeting with depot reps and asked them how he could raise the depot morale
maybe his letter of resignation would be a start
