Sorry Snowman that’s wrong, a Class 3 was a rigid over 7.5 tonnes with no more than 2 axles and up to a GVW of 17 tonnes, anything heavier and/or with more axles was a Class 2, (and obviously Artics were Class 1)
A 7.5 tonner was driveable on a B (standard car) licence up until the C1 category was introduced.
