You’re big on this ‘my thread is bigger than your thread’ nonsense aren’t you? Compensating for something? Most people just buy a convertible, it’s this the poor man’s alternative?

To be fair like the topic no one says you must eat at McD’s if you’d prefer something different.Also not much point in going to McD’s then moaning because you’d rather have something at the local restaurant.
So back to the topic.Maybe the industry isn’t collapsing more like deliberately degenerating back to its 1920’s type model in real terms of relatively low pay loads relative to fuel costs and short distance multiple deliveries/collections lots and short between as a result.As opposed to full/bulk loads fewer and far between.With growth in the former sector at the expense of the latter.While the labour market is an over supplied race to the bottom anarchy.
The EU is probably partly the cause because of its free/single transport and labour markets.
Nothing to do with my thread is bigger than yours. If the thread was as useless as a minority think, it would have died out days ago. OK, what about you few that are moaning do more posting? Anything to say about a topic of your own choice? If not, are you posting useless one liners because you’ve got nothing to say yourselves?
I don’t know why people often compare an occupation with levels of knowledge and intelligence. Just because we hold a class one licence doesn’t make us dumb – well mostly.
Some will find the EU and politics (Brexit) interesting because it affects us all. What happened with the political rejection of Brexit is a serious matter for democracy. For a minority it doesn’t matter, because there’s not much else going on in their heads either. Others like myself are interested where all this is leading to and like to discuss it.
When the thread finally fizzles out I’m not about to keep it going by talking to myself. Look at it this way; you’re 40 or maybe 50 years old and you’ve nothing to say about anything except pile on another poster? Why not do a thread of your own about a topic that interests you, or something you know anything about?
