Is Maritime struggling?

jessicas dad:
so none off you wananbee glory boys have a got a new volvo you are settlingfor coffee makers and microwaves :smiling_imp: :smiling_imp: :smiling_imp:

considering almost all firms have a wait off 12 months for a new volvo i bet those new volvo’s wont be in maritime colours for long.

why am I a wannabe glory boy
im a driver taking a job with a half decent company for decent money ,on the shift pattern that I want, hows that make me a wannabe glory boy  as for settling for the cab extras I see em as a bonus, not a settle they’ll make my life at work better and as far as a new truck goes ,I’ve said It before,i’d drive a nail for the right money :stuck_out_tongue:

^+1

I’ve got an ex Maritime lorry, on the cosmetic front the thing was a nail. I’m impressed that somebody could scratch and stain the interior trim so much in the space of three years.

Then again, they must of been idle ■■■■■ because the thing runs like a Swiss watch.

BTW, it wasn’t one they were peeling the decals off to sell on either…

NB. to the OP, crack on with earning a living fella, if you are a good hand who gives a flying ■■■■ what the grown ups get up to?

hi, just being curious here  we all know that Maritime has posh fleet but lately they have been getting them bleeding axors of toscos and today i went passed a 62 reg scania day cab :open_mouth: i heard rumours that they have ordered a lot of them new mercs but i haven’t seen any yet, or are they getting rid off trampers or cutting down and making them into day drivers

thank you for any info

If there starting to do more tesco work I’d say they’ll be fine going by what tesco pay for a load from donny-Redcar-donny,made me realise why they’d much rather me pull a tesco load than a chilled load.

looks it !!!

They look like Globetrotters, not XLs to me.

Mines a globetrotter

mezzzz1211:
no new wagons for donny  weve all got old(ish) ones ,but while ever they pay what they pay i’d drive a golf cart

You think you’ve got old trucks, we’ve still got some you can pull the fuse on!

So if most firms have to wait around 12 months to get them then how comes Maritime have got them so early? Or am I missing something?

cos we’re special :grimacing: :grimacing: :grimacing:

More like special needs lol

I assume they haven’t got them early but ordered them a while ago. I also assume they make regular orders so a constant supply of new tractor units keep arriving to replace the ones being sold.

Looks like there letting the Taliban night out in that yard, nice ■■■■ stain.

Not the best pic I’ve ever taken   but a couple more of these arrived in Leeds last night

Not really my idea of struggling to be honest

With a few exceptions, I think everybody is struggling at the moment and the container business is no different to rest of the industry, with low rates, lack of growth, increased costs, but like any business you still have to invest for the future, whether you spend £1,000 or £1,000,000.

I saw you yesterday. I was in the white van, round the corner from maritime. I didn’t think you recognised me. Your truck was looking well. have you been having a spring clean. Sounded proper ace, when you come back past me solo.
Love the sound of your wagon phil.
