Got a job with DFDS at immingham start Monday.

Sent you e-mail with e-mail address on it Neil

Good news on the job Guy Rope, hope it goes well for you.

This post seems to have caused a stir

Wheel Nut:
Hmmm! Guy Rope.

Given enough slack he could hang himself.

Doesnt the news filter through, that Iraq is a dangerous place and Kuwait isnt in Iraq

As it seems you have taken umbrage to my post, I will reply.

You posted that you were going to kuwait with a headline of Iraq.

I had just watched a programme on the plight of Ken Bigley, you hadnt at that point said what type of job you were going to do.

Maybe there should have been a smiley at the end of the rope thing, I didnt think it was necessary,

I was offered a job 4 years ago driving in Iraq as a clean up after the first gulf war. It wasnt safe then, it certainly isnt now as proved by this weeks kidnap of Margaret Hassan.

If you get offended by a comment such as mine, what will you do when they start to insult your mother?

It won’t be long before THIS country is saturated with iraqis anyway. Soon, we will be just as prone to attack HERE - never mind the Middle East.

Help with flight’s, Three or six month renewable contract,

The job with best connection has been touted around the trade papers for months now, with various Agencys.

The Army has just bought about 120 Okosh tank transporters and want drivers. you have as far as i know to join the TA and there is an age limit of 39.

The job is worth FAR more money than is being offered, they are huge complcated machines and need great skill to drive safely.

is that tax free guy and do you have to pay for the flight??

Dont bother with the $7000/month one,do you research on the web there are driving jobs available at this time in Iraq paying £1000/day.DON’T let some tinpot UK agency make a fool out of YOU!!!
Start with Halliburton, speaking to a tanker driver this week who’s going out to drive tankers soon,I have been shown monthly wage slips with £9000 tax free on them!!!
JUST MAKE SERIOUSLY SURE YOU CAN HANDLE A GLOCK PISTOL+AK47 BEFORE YOU VENTURE OUT :exclamation: :exclamation: :exclamation: :exclamation: :bulb:

Mal:
I reckon cab bars are a bit pants against rpg’s!

In that case you should invest in a 6 cell maglite …I hear it will fend off any attacker

Big Truck, even that hardware you mention dont cut it against an rpg, not to mention the roadside bomb, which is the fave way to take out a vehicle. Did you see that film on the web where they blew a abrams tank to tiny bits? Imagine a tanker, it’d be vapourised.

A bit more info on Halliburton

But they didn’t go to war for the oil!!!

and somthing for the suicide squad

Yes its tax free.

Yes your flights out and back are paid for.

Mal,
Believe it or believe it not, the RPG will not do any harm to a tanker,as long as you are not in its direct flight path it will just go straight through the tanker and leave two holes as the steel is not thick enough to arm the warhead. They have used them over here you know!!!
As for the roadside bomb,I don’t think the oil tankers are a high priority target its the military hardware their after,as its hard for them to know weither the tanker is being driven by an “Infidel” or an Iraqi if you dress right :bulb:
At £1000/day your earning the same as some premiership footballers!!! but I’ll give you its with ALOT more risk
