Just a thought, how many other drivers use previous truck registrations as internet passwords?
I kind of reckon they make quite good passwords
And on the subject, do you remember the reg of the first truck you ever drove?
Mine was a DAF 2800 in April 1981, UCW 614V, passed my test the previous Friday, was heading down to the Poole / Cherbourg ferry on the Monday, in a truck sent from heaven, like a dog with two dicks
god no I cant even remember me car reg and its sat outside the door I know theres a few vowels in it and a few numbers but what they are god knows.
as for the first truck that’s toooo far back but my 1st artic some 30 what ever years ago was XEX 567 S
I remember the reg of a car my dad had when I was 8 years old, but I can’t remember what I did last week! What the hell is that all about?
I think we remember our truck reg nos easier than our car ones because we write the lorry ones down so many times a day, especially when we were all analogue tachos.
I can remember the Reg No of almost every vehicle I have owned, 12 motorcycles and 37 cars…and almost every truck I have driven . This spans just on 40 years worth of vehicles…sad eh?
Bizarrely, on a few different internet accounts I use a combination of my s***bag sisters ex-husbands, and how long they stuck it out for! If that sounds a bit harsh, since I first started to walk and talk, I was aware that she was a deeply unpleasant, selfish cow - and she aint improved over the last 50 or so years.
A bit like you, maoster, I can remember my first moped reg, but couldnt tell you my current mobile no without going into the phones directory!

Perhaps you are an autistic savant, and no-one has made you aware of this

When I was 8 I could tell you every reg no of the cars on our road. 26 houses and half had 2 cars.
I can also remember all of my cars and most of the trucks I’ve driven and the fleet numbers.
Aspergers does run in my family
My first drive was NX54GPO a DAF65 220 day cab rigid, with a six speed gearbox that didn’t like going into 1st or 3rd. Knocked a bollard over on my first day in Coventry. Funny thing is, I’d easily get a 45ft trailer in there now, that day I was filling my pants!

I may be very impressed with what you did there Nick. It was either extremely clever, or a fluke!
Yep, use reg numbers as passwords. I do have a few to choose from…
I can remember most of the 30 motorbike registrations I’ve had, all the cars and trucks I’ve owned and all my the home telephone numbers of the years.
But sometimes now I forget which hotel room I’m staying in!

Never thought of car numbers, good time to bring this up though…Newsbeat was on about this today…saying that people should change passwords. I tend to use bits from a phrase then there are no words. e.g:
“The cat sat on the mat eating a rat” = “tcsotmear”. Throw a year or the numbers from your car reg on the end and it would give you a pretty good password (as long as you remember the phrase!)
