Dunno then?:
Why are we all feeling sooooo much pain?

Thats a fair point, don’t wanna be depressing, but is life getting shorter?

There’s always someone got a tale of woe. Illness, accidents ect. Or is it just our age that suddenly these misfortunes become more apparent?

Or maybe just the age of the internet increasing our social circles thus bringing to our notice more stories of heartache?

Nothin like tryin to be cheerful. :unamused:

MR VAIN:
Thanks to all of you. My insurance company have insisted on sending a barrester so thats probably not a bad thing. The other lorry drivers employer has kindly offered to have my lorry parked in his yard and drive us both to the courts. So i think thats most things covered. I don’t log into Tnet during the week much, but i will make the effort to on Wednesday evening, maybe just for a few words.

Thank you.

All the best with it Rob, it’s not going to be a nice experience I wouldn’t imagine, but once it is done like other have said maybe it will bring closure on the matter and you can start going about life not forgetting about, because I doubt that will happen, but maybe it will go to the back of your head as a open and closed part of your life which you don’t need to worry or think about as an unresolved point any more.

You’re a good man, a very good man who was just in the wrong place at the wrong time and have had to deal with all the strains and stresses from someone else’s actions, and done a bloody good job of getting through it I believe

Hats off to you fella and good luck once again with it.

I dont agree with all the ■■■■■■ babble matey! But your hearts in the right place! As a quick aside… Why are we all feeling sooooo much pain?

I’m sorry but it’s my belief you have to be good at something in life, it seems my ‘thing’ is babbling so I shall exercise my right to babble

I think its just as you get older, so do the people that you talk to, and socialise with. Which you might not really notice, because days go past, and often a day is a day. A year comes and goes and your a year older.
Also when you get older, the problems/illnesses that people have become more apparent, when you notice that someone slightly older has such and such.
Take care and good luck.
I was going to post good luck before, but i thought you didnt really know me or anything so decided not to.

best of luck me ode pal,me and mrs v8 actros will be thinking of you, can’t really add anything else of any real value mate…except…ROLL ON T’FEST!! andy & caroline ■■

All the best for Wednesday! It will soon be over and then you should be able to move on. I may sound ‘hard’, but you cannot change the past, so look to the future. Best wishes, Xtruckerlady

I was not a member back then so was unaware of this, Good Luck Rob it sounds like this is going to be a really hard day. I have never been there been to a lot of dark corners of life but not this one the only advice I could offer is to A; tell the truth and B; think about getting someone to drive you really really GOOD LUCK keep yer chin up and do it for yourself and your concience will then be clear, read your statement if you have a copy then chin up and best of british M8 man love out to you

Hi all. Well i’m not sure how much to say, but i’ll give my brief account.

All was ok, no pressure. At the beginning, a family member from the deceased made a statement on behalf of the family. They said that they were sorry for the pain, inconvience and emotoinal truama caused to all parties concerned and did not blame anyone involved.

At that point, i felt a great deal of relief.

The judge then continued with the reading of all statements.

The verdict. The judge said that he could see no other verdict than accidental death. In his view, nobody could of taken anymore evasive action to prevent this outcome. No defects were found in any of the vehicles involved. The judge went on to praise the HGV drivers involved for keeping control their vehicles and preventing further loss of life.

And thats that. Job done.

No one will ever no what was going thru his mind. But we, as truck drivers see it everyday. Risk takers on every stretch of road.

My parting thought, Keep yr speed to the limits (it go’s along way in yr defence in such an accident). I consider myself lucky because on this one occasion i was, as near as ■■■■ it, playin by the rules…

Be safe guys and girls x

Glad things were not too traumatic for you and I like the good advice in your parting thoughts.
Maybe those that deliberately break the rules (law) might now think twice…

Amen & bless ya’s, matey

i’ll 2nd that mate, glad its finally, officially over.

Glad to hear and for you its over with as well.

A little bit of the cloud disapears Rob & time will help the rest. Not being anyones fault but his own will probably move things on that little bit quicker. Nice of his family to absolve everyone, must have been difficult for them.

Am I the only one that doesn’t actually know what happened? Is there a news site link or something?

I have read that. Terrible stuff. I still haven’t found an actual account of what went down though… I can pretty much guess though. Feel Bad for you Rob. I think that nah I wouldn’t let that affect me but you just don’t know how you will cope with things like that.

I don’t think Rob wanted to post all the details over the forum, especially as the family may have read it.

Maybe Rob will tell you over a PM if he wants to, or he may just want to get on with his life and try to forget things.
